i'm never do any change on it. this the first time i will do this. the PS3 with original firmware ver 4.53. so i need to jailbreak it with the latest firmware.

U will need a hardware flasher such as E3 or Teensey++ it involves opening up and stripping down the unit, u cant just jailbreak to latedt formware w/ USB

it'd probably be cheaper to have someone do it for u. the e3 and sata station run around $65 last time I checked. u won't need to leave the e3 inside the system, so someone who already owns one would be the cheapest thing to do.

Check youtube. Search for PS3 Jailbreak with E3 Flasher (NO ESATA Station required)

Also do not forget to update your E3 flasher first. If you do not, it will only work on one PS3 (In case you want to do more then one).

Search for: E3 Flasher w/ no ESATA Station and no FSM dongle required
and you'll find a video where he first updates the E3 Flasher.
