How to move large PKG files to the PS3 without FTP or Splitting

it isn't great but that's best we got.fastest way to get games going is using iso's on external ntfs drive but that involves creating backups but once you've done that you can pretty quickly swap games (usually you're bottlenecked by speed of the external drive).

PKG LINKER. But it's slower than FTP. Why do you need another option, if FTP is great?
I have slow internet so it takes forever and really slows down my computer hense why I'm trying to find a method aside from FTP that works reliably unlike the splitter which doesn't seem to work all that well.

FTP will not use your internet. It will use your internal LAN.

FTP doesn't use your internet, it uses LAN (Local Access Network> Ethernet cable) or WLAN (Wireless Local Access Network > WiFi).

Using Ethernet is best for FTP, either using your router or direct LAN connection from your PS3 to your PC, as the PS3s WLAN is only 2.4 Ghz and is really slow for FTP.

Well if using WiFi it is piss poor slow. I have the PS3 wired to my router then my PC to WiFi but my PC has a much faster and more modern WiFi adapter so rue speeds aren't that bad. Now that being said if using WiFi on the PS3 as well it takes forever. I go from 22mbps down the 1mbps or slower.
