PS2 How to play games from hdd on matrix ps2?

I recently just bought a matrix modded ps2 and when i wanted to add games to it, i accidentally wiped the harddrive. How do i play games again from the hard drive? Preferably without having to buy extra things.

Depend if you want use APA or MBR/GPT, or APA-Jail. APA needs dedicated apps. exFAT not.
