PS2 how to setup IGR for ps1 games?

Hi there, I'm quite new to OPL and I have managed to get it working to an extent that I can load PS1 games and play them quite happily. However whenever I try to reset out using R1R2L1L2 Start/Select I get a weird japanese text playstation BroadBand screen appearing, and I can't get back to Open PS2 Loader's menu... it just keeps sending me back into the game.

I tried changing the path of the IGR in the settings menu to the path of the .elf file but seems as though it doesn't work with ps1 games.

Maybe I'm wrong but OPL's "IGR" (In Game Reset) is only for PS2 games.

I believe the option you want is the left option, and you press "circle" instead of "cross."
You can change the image to be English if you follow the page gamerman5000 linked above.

Use $IGR5. If that doesn't work, you may need to disable its ELF loader.

Hi there, thanks I had a look in the thread and while I can see there are english menus I've no idea how to switch mine over to English... I had a quick look in the thread but couldn't see anything specific though I may have missed it.

But yes I am hoping there is a way to just reset the console while playing ps1 games, or just returning to the OPL menu screen?

OK so I highlighted the left option and clicked Circle instead of X and it worked, it reset me out of the opl ps1 emulator which is great! However it returned me to LaunchELF which is fine, however I can't then get out of LaunchELF easily... typical!! Nearly there!

You must copy the three files with the "TM2" extension and place them in the root "POPS" folder where the emulator is, they come within the folders according to the menu you liked (there is a previous image attached)

1.-"IGR_BG.TM2"
2.-"IGR_NO.TM2"
3.-"IGR_YES.TM2"

You can add an entry to LaunchELF main menu that will launch OPL. For me when LaunchELF is up, I press O to go back to OPL. Play with the MISC/Configure

Also you can name Ulaunchelf differently (i.e. ULE.ELF, remember to adjust the paths accordingly in FMCB_Configurator), name OPL to BOOT.ELF and put it into BOOT folder. This way also POPS IGR will send you straight back top OPL.
