I feel the same way Hugo, specially because I use my PS2 through OSSC.
PS2's PS1 Emulation image quality is better than PS3's PS1 Emulation image quality with OSSC. The pixels / sprites are not blurred at all. And with POPStarter hacks it's really convenient to get rid off the ugly texture dither in PS2.
Maybe if we had a developer interested in hack ps1_emu or net_emu in PS3 we could had a better experience, like implementing scanlines just like Retroarch does. But development in PS3 is scarce nowadays, so there's no hope for improvements.
Getting back to the subject, without pressure, which hacks are you working on this time @hugopocked ? Do you have anything to tease us?

Castlevania Symphony of the Night_(ALL VER) // regress to the previous update for the CPU recompiler cache due to incompatibility with the JAP version, anyway the previous update corrected the game perfectly.
Echo Night 2 - Nemuri no Shihaisha (Japan) // Fixed loop/hang after Playstation logo black screen, I don't know if this was caused by the translation patch or if the original version of the game had the same problem, in any case it should work in both cases, work directly on the version English patched since I don't speak Japanese lol, also corrected defects in the general performance of the game.

Art Camion - Geijutsuden (Japan) // Fixed crashes after the Playstation logo and in the rest of the game, fixed slowdown in the bus customization menu, and in the races.
Brave Fencer Musashi (USA) // Updated only the latest versions of the compatibility modes previously applied, the crash fix did not receive changes since it works perfectly.
Casper_(ALL VER) // Fixed SPU crashes, the game was waiting for a response from the SPU 200h IRQ port.
Chicken Run_(ALL VER) // Fixed all Audio problems, therefore this also solves crashes in certain parts of the game, and improved the performance of the game in general.
Fantastic Four (Japan) SLPS-01034 // Improved the old fix, The problem was permanent audio loops in certain bosses that prevented progress in the story after these parts: I think in the boss Namor the Sub-Mariner, and with the boss Dr. Victor Von Doom, in summary now all is corrected only for 1 Player and only for the (Japanese) version it is very tedious to fix all the versions, luckily all the versions are the same and come in English so there is not a big difference, I also did My own cheat codes for cheaters are in the CHEATS.TXT file, read to know how to activate them with a combination of buttons, I did this so that they do not complain in the future if they do not find cheats for the (Japanese) version.
Later I will try to solve the problems for 2 Players, since for 4 Players it is not necessary because POPS does not support Multitap, In any case, for 2 players the correction of the loop in the part of the Namor the Sub-Mariner boss should work, where I think there will be problems in 2 Players would be in the Final Boss Dr. Victor Von Doom since when several players come, other ones are reproduced combinations of Voices and I have not fixed the combinations only the voices individually when playing with 1 Player, in short the game is now perfectly completeable only for 1 Player.

X-Men - Children of the Atom_(ALL VER) // Corrected all the crashes thanks to a compatibility mode that I made called (NoBreak$RAM) so far I have only seen it useful in this game, the POPS started to clean the emulated ram of the PS1 which caused the crash, maybe this whether it is useful for another game, I don't know... I also applied an Overclock of +100 with a GPU Timing -600h customized so that together it improves part of the original slowdowns of this PS1 Port.

GPU SMOOTH FIX
With this you can apply an improved SMOOTH Filter without the defect caused by the $SMOOTH command which was that in some games it activated texture transparencies where it did not belong and graphic errors in others, for example (Resident Evil 3).
*_RAW: When activated, the default texture colors will have maximum brightness, ignoring any color originally set by the game.
*_DITHERING: When activated, the textures will have their dithering effect.
*_SMOOTH: When activated, the textures will have a filter to reduce pixelation.

And today I'm trying to track down an error that comes from the recompiler, apparently it starts writing the recompiled code where the PS1 emulated ram goes WTF, at some point it gets corrupted or overflows the base address to host the next piece of recompiled code, I'm doing this to correct another batch of games lol.
I started making this list that I am presenting today a few days ago because I am already forgetting everything I do lol, so what I have improved and fixed before these dates are even more new things that I have done, but I will see if a One of these days I start to remember lol.
