PS3 I don't need PS3HEN right? I can use CFW? I'm on a slim that is exploitable

All the guides say my PS3 is exploitable and I don't need to use HEN. I suppose I can wait for the regular site to come back up, but all the mirrors linked in the status thread say "HEN" for my options. Outdated mirrors?

On the latest 4.92 OFW on a CECH25xxA PS3 slim. Manufacture date is 07/2010

I dropped out of the scene ages ago when rebug came to one of the early firmwares (PS3 hard drive died), so I don't really know the difference between HEN and CFW. I've just read that HEN isn't as good.

CFW replaces the OFW, while HEN needs to be enabled at every PS3 boot to run homebrews (HEN requieres Hybrid FW). It's an exploit based on PS3 web browser. You can do pretty much the same things on HEN as on CFW. Just the HEN enabler is sometimes a little stubburn and freezes your PS3 (lets say it freezes once every 50 atempts).

Interesting, I have difficulties to get CFW on my 4.84 hfw , can we use multiman and iso on HEN ? Thank you

Yes, you can. You can even use a NTFS formated USB drive to play your backup ISOs from, using either ManaGunZ, IRISMAN or webMAN MOD (+ prepiso). I don't know if multiman supports NTFS tho, I rarely use it.
I'm still also on 4.84 HFW fyi (with latest HEN version, 3.4 if I remember correctly).

See here if you want to know more about PS3 HEN setup.

Please, let's not hijack this thread and continue the conversation in your own if you need more infos.
