you have to be a member for a little while before it allows direct messages. when it lets you, click on "inbox" then "start a new conversation".

for now you can mention the developer in a post. they will get an alert when they log in. to mention someone just put a @ symbol in front of their name like this @Coro

it would be best to start a new thread for that. oh and welcome to the forum!

It takes your first few posts to be approved by mods, permissions will be unlocked automatically.

it's to eliminate spam, because we used to have an issue with Chinese spam bots I believe. I do remember those. I think that's what it was instituted.
