PS3 I need some guidance...

Forum Noob
Firstly, I would like to say that, I am not sure if in this forum I can ask this type of question, and it is in this session that I carry it out. So, already in advance, I apologize for any kind of inconvenience.
I won a PS3, but this one is banned from PSN. So I thought about unlocking it. I have not yet unlocked, as I am full of doubts about this. I would like some guidance on this. Since if the console is blocked and banned at the same time it is not very useful, except to use it solely and exclusively to play original media alone.
I think it would be more useful, for me, to unlock the PS3, not because I want to benefit from piracy but because it would have more versatility, and even serve as an "old arcade or old VG of 8-bit / 16-bit era" because I like enough of the old electronic games (pure nostalgia). And maybe, who knows, by unlocking, I can access the PSN in some way, and with that download the applications like for example: Spotify, YouTube and Netflix, since with the system banned from PSN, I can not access these apps.
Having explained the reason for coming here to ask for help, I will now ask the questions that I have a lot of doubt.
- Does the unlocking of the PS3 cause a generic problem that I come to regret? Remembering that he is already banned from PSN.
- Is it only with the unlock that I can play SNES or Arcade?
- Unlocking the console can I access PSN again?
- After unlocking can I change the hard drive? And if I change it do I need to redo the unlock process again?
"What's the best unlocking you suggest?"
I hope that you forum can answer me to ask and teach something, because I really do not understand on this topic.

By "unlocking" I assume you mean jailbreaking..? Your possible options will be dictated by the model of the console you own so before we can properly answer your questions, we would need to know your console's exact model number. (look at the back of the console, the code starting with CECH....)

Hi, bguerville, fine. The model of my PS3 is CECH-2504A. And yes, I meant jailbreaking. Really I am not familiar with the term and technical procedure. Thanks for helping me.

As it is a 25xx model, it may be jailbreakable or not! Previous models are all jailbreakable but 25xx are the latest jailbreakable models & some came out after s#ny patched the vulnerability. 3xxx & 4xxx are not currently jailbreakable.

By full jailbreak, what we are talking about basically is the ability to install a customised firmware ie CFW.

In your case, there is only one way to be sure, you need to download the MinVerChk PUP file (available in our resources section or on **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new)).
Rename it PS3UPDAT.PUP if not already done & put it on a fat32 USB stick (full path should be x:\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP).
Plug the usb stick into the ps3.
Go to XMB Settings column, System Update -> Update via USB. Launch.
A window will pop up on screen with the minimum installable firmware version. If that value is <= 3.56, the console is fully jailbreakable.
Do that test first then we can see about getting you the answers you seek.. :)
