PS2 I seem to have permanently disabled my modbo 5.0 (possibly corrupted its memory)

Just a few hours ago I installed a modbo 5 on my 300004 ps2, and its laser seems to be hit or miss, so I wanted to change it, so I changed it, and then wanted to use the lenschanger app, fmcb was acting funny, I was getting a black screen when launching ulaunchelf so I thought Id disable the modchip, well I did, by pressing start on startup and everything was working just fine. After doing my job with fmcb, ulaunchelf and lenschanger I rebooted my ps2, and it couldn't read a burned game, so, I checked if the modchip was working, by pressing triangle and circle on startup, and I'm getting nothing. I've tried everything, completely turning off the ps2, staying on standby for a while and turning it on, resetting multiple times, and nothing.

Did I mess up? Is there some way to reset the modchip? Its was running matrix 3.x (3.4 I think?) . Im thinking of disoldering the 3.3v wire on the modchip , turning the console on and the soldering it back together to see itll act like new again but I doubt it. Please someone help
