PS3 IDA Pro 6.8 Question Pertaining To Loaders/Plugins/IDC scripts

So I've previously always used IDA 6.6 in order to reverse SPRX's and other PS3 executables. I've always used the loaders acquired from x0rloser's blog, and plugins/IDC scripts from kakaroto's github page. I've recently acquired a new computer and switched to IDA 6.8, but I've come across a few posts here (i.e. can't post links presumably due to account limitations, but here's one of the threads of which mentions the aforementioned compatibility issues on psx-scene: /threads/ida-pro-ps3-plugin.28671/) of which indicate that these loaders/plugins/IDC scripts won't work for IDA versions newer than 6.7, but strangely they seem to be working fine in IDA 6.8? I.e. I am able to load prx's, elf's, etc. without any apparent issues. I really only ever need to use the loaders to load the files in IDA, then only need to make use of these IDC scripts: analyze_self.idc, analyze_self64.idc, analyze_sprx.idc, all of these scripts seem to run just fine, i.e. they are able to locate TOC address, label a few functions, etc. So my main concern is that being that a few people have said these shouldn't work in IDA 6.8, is there any 'silent' and/or 'hidden' glitches that aren't immediately apparent when running these scripts even though they seem to be working fine (on IDA 6.8)? I.e. so far on the surface level everything seems to be working fine, but I don't want to just blindly assume that and then there actually being some hard to notice glitches that I may come across later down the line. Thanks for your time.

**accidental typo in my post (It's not allowing me to edit the post in order to correct it), I said "psx-scene" but meant "psx-place" :smilet digitalpoint:
