PS2 Identifying Combined EE + GS Model PS2s

I have discovered all five of my SCPH-70002 and my SCPH-75002 model PS2s with a small letter b after the model have a combined EE and GS. Whereas all of my other SCPH-70002 and SCPH-75002 model PS2s with a small letter a after the model have a separate EE and GS.

Checking the Heatsink Fins:
With a light take a look inside the rear vent of the PS2. Now see the attached pictures. You'll be looking at the amount and configuration of the heatsink fins. The fins are silver things that are sticking up 5-10mm. A simple way to check is to count 5 fins in from the first fin that is closest to the edge of the PS2. There will either be no gap or a larger gap between the 5th and 6th pin.

Supposedly model SCPH-700xx's come with the warranty sticker on the bottom yet others have the sticker on the rear. Is this any indication of what motherboard model you get either GH-032 or GH-035?

Also anyone in Australia seen any with a model number of SCPH-70002?

What about going by the chassis model number on the sticker?

Hi ! Sorry to ask this like that, but for whatever reasons, I can't DM anyone on this forum and I can't find any other way to contact you privately.

Could you DM me finalman ? I would like to propose something for a PS4 PRO mod.

Finally got one after about 10 eBay SCPH-70002 model PS2 purchases here in Australia. Probably will be a v13 without the laser fix going by the power supply manufacture date. Haven't opened it yet though.

UPDATE: Yes it is a V13 with no Sony laser fix.

OK just noticed my SCPH-70002 model PS2 with combined EE+GS has a small letter b after the model so it looks like SCPH-70002b. Whereas my other split EE GS models are SCPH-70002a.

Can anyone else confirm the small letter b at the end of the model means it is a combined EE+GS model?

UPDATE: My SCPH-75002a model PS2 has separate EE GS and my SCPH-75002b has combined EE+GS.

UPDATE: My SCPH-70002b model PS2 also does not have the Sony laser fix circuitry.

Bought another one off eBay specifically asked the seller if it had the small b after the model number and they said it did so I purchased it. On arrival I can confirm it has combined EE and GS.

So looking like having the small b after the model number it should have combined EE and GS.
I bought SCPH-70004 with "b" at the end and it has GH-032-12 motherboard K-chassis with separate EE and GS.
Looks like the rule "letter 'b' means the combined EE+GS" does not work
