I'm not being able to change CA certificates on my ps3 cfw [HEN]

Hello,

I have a PS3 CFW-Compatible 4.87 [HEN].

and I have full access to this path '\' and I can access to this path 'dev_flash/data/cert' and I can change any original cert like CA30.crt, CA59.crt, etc...

The problem when I changed one of the original certs, I can't access to the browser, and I can't play call of duty because I already got a black screen, everything didn't work! My firmware has become corrupted.

I solved the problem by returning the original cert to this path 'dev_flash/data/cert'

And now can anyone tell me what happened? or how can I change any original cert?

Note: I have another ps3 3.55 I can change any original cert and everything is fine but my question is how can I change the original certs? on PS3 CFW 4.87 or at least 4.82
I don't think changing certs will solve browser issues, and it's a little bit dangerous (on super slims models it can cause hard brick).

S0ny changed the way the system access certs after some firmware (4.60 I think), and probably this is the cause that you can change certs on 3.55 PS3.

Your input is appreciated, Thank you!

You're right about Sony Changed their way about access to certs after some firmware!

But my question is how can I bypass it?

And Can you take a look about this thread please?

https://www.psx-place.com/threads/ps3xploit-v3-ssl-certificate-injector-remover.17200/

Is this thread talking about changing the original certs? I didn't understand it exactly!

Thank you again.

I have not looked into this myself, but AFAIK Sony added some extra security to certs, and now there is a list of their hashes contained somewhere inside a system file, maybe vsh.self, maybe other places too. so far I do not think anyone managed to bypass this check properly.
