PS VITA / PS TV Install the PSM Dev Assistant for Unity on >3.20

As we see the Rejuvenate hack on the Vita progress from developer Yifan Lu , there is an upcoming release that will allow you to install the "PSM Dev for untity" Assistant on firmwares greater then 3.20. The original Rejuvenate instructions from Yifan Lu suggested using PSM Dev app (which differs from the Untiy one). As Sony Removed both these apps from PSN it prompted developer's to look into [break]ss[/break]Unity version and it actually brings some good news as with "PSM Dev for untity" (not to be confused with PSM Dev assistant) it does not require a Developer license (DRM free) and works without USB which means according from wololo that there should be PSTV Support using this method.

Now the problem is Sony has removed this apps from PSN when the Rejuvenate hack was released. The good news it seems that developers may find some solutions for user's who were not able to install thePSM Dev for untity on their PSTV / Vita's Consoles, it requires some unreleased vulnerabilities that appears will be released soon.. KanadeEngel has informed and confirmed to us here at PSX-Place that is a working method. Below you can see Major_Tom tweets about the latest developments from himself and Mr. Gas soon to come.

I have back ups of "PSM Dev for untity" and "PSM Dev app" for 3 several accounts on my pc so im save yes?

I also have a ps3 on ofw a 3.18 and a 3.51 PSvita so it will work? I'm just a bit overwhelmed

because I was on vacation and without internet and now there are so much news regarding PS Vita.

 

This looks like good news for me as long as is doesn't require using my ps3 online because i can't

Was wondering when you guys were gonna post this as I sent a tip about it a while back but great news for everyone as it will have PSTV support, no USB tether and best of all is the PKG is DRM free. Sad thing is I can see folks selling the install of this exploit to those without a CFW/OFW (can be done via Charles Proxy in latest OFW) PS3 or a Vita not capable of PKG install via WebKit.

Yea you can install it on 3.52 but the app will not run. Sony blocked it in the 3.52 update so its useless. And that isn't a new guide its the original source. It has an English option as well since it is a french English forums.

 

Strange because the date is from yesterday, isnt there 2 ps dev assistant? the normal and the unity(free DRM)? both bloked on 3.52?
