Installed 4.87 FERROX COBRA on CECHC04, now PS2 discs do not work.

I"m sorry. I don't want to get into a fight, but I'm just expressing the fact that people say rebug is perfect when that simply isn't true. I'm comparing it to the fact that you're saying ferrox has lots of issues, but that's simply not my experience. I had never had any issues with rebug until I got this new system. no game worked, online didn't work either. I got different errors on cex and dex, one of which was the 80010007 error.

if you could specify which FW you tested I can try looking into what was missing on that firmware, I've released countless amount of FWs and I know I made some mistakes in the past and had to release a fix for it in the past.

the PS2 issue that OP mentioned has been a thing with Ferrox for a while and Evilnat recently had the same issue but managed to fix it after he used CellSDK for his payload.

will we still see a REX rebug 4.87?
or
rebug lite 4.87 charges 8.30?

I just wanted to apologize to @DeViL303 , @bguerville , and @Joonie (saw that you replied to one of my posts). I was getting agitated last night, so I eventually walked away from the argument. I like both Ferrox and Rebug in reality. I'm using Rebug 4.84.2 Rex on my system at this very moment in fact.

when I bought my system, there were several problems with it, enough to where I put the money on hold with paypal while I checked if the system was even working correctly. it was on the same firmware, but in dex. the environment for online connectivity was wrong for some reason. and, no game was playable (kept getting errors). when I moved up to ferrox to see if something was wrong with the firmware install, I had none of these problems. I then moved back down to rebug where I got one error, a trophy error installing tales of graces f. deleting the trophies off the hdd and reinstalling seemed to have fixed the issue. that's my history with rebug issues. I now have 0 issues, so it may have been the original user who messed things up. he said it was his backup ps3, so I don't know how often he played it. it only had a 50GB hdd inside, and the hdd caddie was missing all screws, so it was handled rough.

anyway, I simply didn't like the idea that ferrox had some sort of issue. it's not something I checked, because I don't have a bc system. I might've checked ps2 games in general. I know I did on either ferrox or rebug, because my last system would not remount webman mod after launching a ps2 game, so I had to restart the system. this happened with every firmware, so that's something I wanted to check.

Fair enough, you just need to be careful saying things like "Rebug wont play games or go online" , myths spread quickly especially coming from senior members like you. Next thing you know noobs are repeating it like it's a fact. Overall Rebug is consistently one of the most bug free CFWs available on the scene IMO.

Not really offended, it's fine, you had a fair argument. Rebug FW isn't perfect.

That's been a thing since CEX2DEX was introduced, those issues can be caused by np environment & idps change. That's why I always check the NP environment when I can't connect to PSN and make sure my IDPS is spoofed back to its original when using DEX FW.

Yeah PS2 Netemu's been fine but those payloads for BC & SEMIBC can be corrupted when using Windows to compile those.

I was just on here about this issue! but i was thinking it was an issue with SEN Enabler. Im on Rebug 4.86.1 CEX starting around last week i kept getting connection errors on any game i played online & joining text chats would freeze my ps3. Apparently it was an issue world wide with Sony. The problem seems to be fixed now, but now im unable to get online as i get an error code 80710016. Also there is an issue with turning off Cobra from the Rebug toolbox as when i toggle disable it remains enabled.
