PS3HEN Installing pkg files

I was wondering if it was possible to install pkg file from an external hdd to the PS3's internal drive? Right now I'm coping then over the my package dir and installing from there.

As long as the file is under 4gb you can use an FAT32 formatted drive. That is why I chose FAT32. It works for everything and ISO files can be split. If larger then 4gb you can either setup PKG Linker to install over a network but that takes to long IMO or you have to FTP to dev_hdd0:/packages.

Edit

BTW you a Bloodborne fan? Your SN makes me think so.

Oh, sorry. I meant from a NTFS portable hard drive.

I was looking for a more efficient way to install pkgs other then coping them to the package folder, install the pkg, then deleting the pkg after it's installed.

No, I've never played Bloodborne yet. My name comes from Native American (Nez Pirce tribe) story.

Yeah no native NTFS support I'm afraid. You can either use PKG Linker or do as you are doing now. PKG Linker is faster then copying then moving the file and finally installing. And you don't need twice the space available. If doing it over a wired network it's much faster then copying etc. Only the PS3 needs to be wired as most wifi can send the file quick enough.

And that's cool I never knew where they got her name from in that game as it's mainly Victorian and Eldritch horror based.
