PS3HEN Irishman won't mount PS1 ISOs

A few days ago I tried running PS1 games through Irishman. So I made a dump of my Dragon Warroir VII CD into .bin/.cue format. Copied it to the PSXISO folder. When I loaded Irishman it detected the image, but when I clicked on it to mount the screen just flashed. No error or anything. So I tried re-dumping the CD again in .ISO format. Went to mount it through Irishman and the same thing happened. I tried mounting both images in Webman and they mounted and loaded just fine. So I'm at a lose as to why they don't mount in Irishman.

Does anybody have an idea as to what the problem may be? I spent sometime researching the problem myself, but I couldn't find anything that was related to this problem.

"Irishman" ? Is it Conan O'Brien ?

If you can launch it thru Webman, why bother fixing it for Irisman??? Just play and enjoy
Irisman have some boot options for PS1 games that are unique (the other backup managers doesnt supports them)
@Ioskeha you should report it to @aldostools

Iris is a goddess from greek mythology, she owns/uses the rainbow to carry messages to the olympian gods
Actually, in spanish the rainbow is named "arco iris" (literally translated as the "iris bow") :)

I've had the same problem with IRISMAN but never managed to solve it, it works fine on my fat cfw ps3 but it refuses to work on my hen slim with ps1 games. And yes the same files work fine with webman or multiman.
Maybe you could try and convert the CUE/BIN games to IMG/SUB/CCD format with sbitools: https://github.com/Kippykip/SBITools
It did solve a lot of problems with games that didn't run or run well for me.

LOL.

I'm almost surprised we have not seen a mod yet. :)

LOL TBH the name have various meanings:

- It's a contraction of "Iris MANager"
- I wanted a single word name, easy to remember like multiMAN
- It's also a reference to multiMAN (I changed several things in the UI to make it behave like mM)
- It's an indirect reference to prominent Irish members of the PS3 scene like: DeViL303, Gregory Rasputin and others :D
- The official name is spelled: IRISMAN (all uppercaser), not: irisMAN, IrisMan, IrisMAN, Irishman, etc.

Regarding the question, the PSX game should be properly dumped as an ISO (BIN/CUE) in Mode 2/2352 and stored the the folder /PSXISO of the internal HDD or USB (FAT32 or ntfs).

Some games need to switch the PS1 emulator from ps1_emu to ps1_netemu or viceversa.

Give me that Version of Irisman, and I'll use it with pride anytime of the week over [emoji23]

I bet when you have done dumping a BD, a Irish lad will pop up saying - Oi, this fookin disc has been copied, get the fook out of here [emoji1787] [emoji1081][emoji108]

I've been the hospital the last couple of days, so I'm just now getting back to this. Sorry if I offended anyone; I get Dyslexia at times due to this brain tumor that I have. Normally I use speech-to-text.

Thanks. I'll give that a try. I've been wanting to re-dump my games anyways. It's been about ten years since I've dumped them.

Thanks again, Wearing A Fedora. I tried your suggestion, and it still won't mount. I also used PowerISO and made sure it was in Mode 2/2352 which didn't work either.

Oh well. Wanted to get this setup for my son. He's been showing as interest in retro-games. Between this and RetroArch failing to load shaders I think I'll just buy him a Raspberry Pi or something.

Thanks for the help people.

Ah sorry to hear that, wish you well. I can't be speak for everyone but you didn't offend me, you actually made me crack a smile :)
For retro gaming i'd suggest a MiSTer: http://www.racketboy.com/retro/mister-fpga-the-future-of-retro-game-emulation-and-preservation if the budget is available.

You recall the original logo (my poor attempt ; ) ),

That is "IRISMAn" lol, Now we see why we needed your improved version

Above was a mod from the much cleaner official Iris Manager logo (not done by me obviously lol)

I did do a bit better (still many flaws) with GameSonic Manager Logo, went on the same theme as a modded logo from the original .
