yes you can do cfw or hen
To be 100% sure you need to run MinVerChk to check your PS3's factory firmware.I hope that the cfw will be compatible. If its not is there anything i can do?
Lol you type faster than me on mobileTo be 100% sure you need to run MinVerChk to check your PS3's factory firmware.
It needs to be 3.56 or under in order for it to be compatible with CFW. If it's 3.60 or higher then it isn't compatible with CFW and you'll need to use PS3HEN instead otherwise you'll brick your console when using the flash writer tool.
I hate posting on my phone... it would have taken me 10 minutes to post that with the neat link, the bold text and everything else lolLol you type faster than me on mobile
Yes, that means it's compatible with CFW so you can safely ignore anything HAN or HEN related.Update data of version 3,40 or later can be installed on this system. so it is all right or not?
See this guide written by the PS3Xploit team. Your slim is a NOR console, so ignore the NAND version of the flash writer altogether. Follow all the steps carefully, read thoroughly and re-read if necessary, and most importantly take it slowly one step at a time. If there's anything you're unsure of, report back to avoid any issues on your end.OK is there any guide on how to jailbreak it? or anything? There is plenty of videos on Youtube but i would rather find writen guide instead of fast talking guy on youtube.
You're welcome. Yes, all standard retail features are intact on CFW. You'll also be able to make ISO backups of your game discs, to save wear and tear on the disc itself as well as the console's BD drive. This is but one of many great features that CFW affords.OK thank you very much. Will i be able to play retail games after jailbreaking my console? i mean game on discs
Install once via System Update on the XMB, and once afterwards in recovery mode. That is the recommended way to prevent any flash dump errors during the process.Do i need to install HFW twice in recovery mode? or its fine just once?
No, as long as HFW 4.84 gets installed twice, it's fine.i did that once via System update then i turn off my PS3 hopped into Recovery mode and now installing in recovery mode. So i am fine? i dont need to do recovery mode twice right?
