An Overclock isn't possible on these machines, because Overclocking isn't simple as it seems, first the motherboard needs to be prepared for the increase in Clock Speed and Voltage, and the PS3 Motherboards aren't prepared for that task, there aren't enough Power Phases to reflect in that change, and even if there is Overclocking doesn't bring any benifits to a Optimized Hardware, increasing the Clock speed also would break game compatibility, so they are meant to stay that way, also 3.2Ghz CELL Boardband Engine isn't enough?
You are lucky that $ony bumped the CELL Clock from 2.4Ghz in 2004 to 3.2Ghz by the end of 2005,so there is pretty much an overclock.
Overclocking a low powered mobile processor that runs at the same voltage at the cost of battery life, is different from running a full fledged PowerPC Desktop Variant Processor, that requires better power delivery, PSU Stability and adequate cooling, besides PowerPC CPUs aren't exactly known for they're Overclocking capabilities as far as i am aware.
