XBOX 360 Is the X360 scene dead?

I currently have 3. Doing RGH on every last one I have, just for fun.
i have seen one that i like but its alot of money. its the halo 4 limited edition one.

i was thinking about buying a normal rgh one and buying a broken halo 4 one and just change the case, think that would work out cheaper.

Halifax uk

So, shipping FROM Sweden to UK (~5kg) is roughly 500SEK. That's if I send the console only (no cables/controller/hdd).

Alternatively check out chipchopmoduk (I've only ordered supplies from them, but they deliver and perhaps they can install as well) or similar for a more local service.

i dont really know much about rgh though.

Well, a quick Google search will fetch you tons of reading about RGH. I spent about 5 hours reading and watching video tutorials, before taking the leap. But some basic soldering knowledge is adviced. There's mainly 2 points you need to solder, that can be a bit tricky, but if you keep your head cool and your hand steady, you'll do just fine.

I may be wrong, but I think he means how to use an rgh. I can tell you what you need to know, but you have to supply me with questions. you do mean after hacking the system, right? or am I wrong?

yes, taht is right, how to use a rgh xbox.

I have 3 360s in my shed, and an original xbox...

One of these days in the coming months I want to pull them out & play around with them. Haven't in years...
I can answer most questions, but you need to ask them first. :)

I'm sure I'll have loads of questions when I do, but I'm betting most of my answers are already in your TuTs, @pinky, as always.

When I do finally get my MS hardware out, would you like me to take some screenshots and pics along the way to update your old guides?

many thnaks for that, i have figured out most things but so far all i want is abigger hard dirve and i have checked on google and it seems very complicated as in you have to connect the spare hard drive to pc and do some programming on the hard drive.

i know how to take the plastic casing off then i can just put the spare hard drive in that.

oh, man. it's been years since I've done that. from what I remember, you need to use hdd partition fixer to get partition 2 on to the drive. that's the partition that emulates original xbox stuff. then, you have to format it on the system, which iirc requires the serial number of the system. you can get that in system settings. I don't remember too much beyond that, because as I said, it's been years. be careful with opening up the caddie if using a phat, because that spring that holds the eject button can go flying off. good luck finding it if it does. lol

edit: some more info I remember. I think partition fixer is run on the system (not 100%), and I'm pretty sure it won't format the drive in case you already have stuff on it, so don't worry. I can't recall if you have to have a wd drive or not, because that's the way you can get another drive to work officially. I don't think the security (ss.bin) file cares if you have an rgh or jtag, so it probably doesn't matter. anyway, I'm using a 1TB drive in mine, but you can go up to 2TBs internally.

i do not go online at all so nothing to worry about that department but putting a bigger hard drive seems more work than its worth :(

i still have plenty of space left but have a spare 1tb which i wouldnt mind using.

i will just have to see if i can do it when/if my space runs out.

1TB is probably plenty considering with kernel 16xxx you can now use up to 2TBs externally as well. plus, games don't need to be on the internal hdd, including xbla games, for any firmware using the hacked dashboard.

if you mean the default sounds, I think @pink1 wrote an app that can do that. I've never used it. don't use my 360 or my ps3 ever anymore.
yep tats correct, in order to do that, i have to get rid of the buzzer sound module and put a different one in then solder a chip so i can connect it up to a pc and change the ejeect and power sound to halo 4 one.
