PS4 Is there a way to DOWNGRADE a retail (disc) patch?

You really don't own anything in this day and age...
I accidentally updated Fallout 4 (CUSA02557) to patch 01.36 which requires 11.5 firmware, I am on 11.00 and now I cant run the game at all, I cant just uninstall it either to install it again because I will also lose access to all my purchased DLC...

I am on 11.00 with PPPWN and GoldHen
Is there a way to downgraded this patch to go back to patch 01.34? so it lets me play the game normally again.

Also I learned the hard way that IF you have an updated game that requires a higher firmware on your external hard drive IT LITERALLY "LOCKS" THE ENTIRE CONTENT OF THE EXTERNAL DRIVE (asking to update the system software in order to use any game on such external device, it wont even mount it automatically), NOT ONLY THE UPDATED GAME! its fucking insane!.
I couldn't use any of my legit purchased games until I moved Fallout 4 out of the external hard drive, its disgusting...

You would have to find it again and remarry. If you dumped the game and patch yourself, just install. If a different base pkg was used to make the patch, you'll need to remarry the pkg.

Well, a specific version might be on orbis patches, if that's still around. It has official updates just for this reason. A legit version of an update will work fine installed as pkg with a legit disc or psn.

Edit: https://orbispatches.com

They only have legit pkgs.

Thank you, I visited the site, found my game, the correct update but the update came in 2 parts, I tried to install it but it gave me an error. Then I googled about installing patches and a video on YT from years ago from Modded Warfare told me how to merge parts with a program called PKG Merge by Tustin. I made it one pkg file, went to my ps4, enabled debug menu and installed the patch, the game now runs again.
Sadly somewhere in the process of downgrading from a higher patch (1.36), I lost all my installed mods from the creation club, nothing big but still kinda disappointing.
Thank you again, I hope this info can help someone else.

Great! Glad I could help. You can merge them with the copy /b command as well, I think. PS4 games come in 4GB chunks by default, and they use a manifest file to merge the parts after downloading from psn iirc.
