Why are your ps3 iso files archived in rar files? There are no ps3 tools using rar to compress iso data so would these be downloaded games from the Internet by any chance? My pc just broke up, so I really have nothing to extract the .iso files from the .rar files, so I really need a way to extract .RAR files in the ps3 itself, any help will be gladly accepted
Nooo thats what I was trying to get him to say [emoji2960] your too quick [emoji1787][emoji1787]Why are your ps3 iso files archived in rar files? There are no ps3 tools using rar to compress iso data so would these be downloaded games from the Internet by any chance?
It's cause the file is around 22gbI'm not sure. Maybe you could extract the files using your phone and then FTP them to the PS3?
Oh, didn't know about it, thanks a bunchyou can extract zip, but that just installs content to a specific location. rar = not that I know of.
Yeah, sherlock@bguerville looks like were wrong.
Its obviously a 22gb image file [emoji6]

The saying is "no sh!t sherlock" [emoji849]Yeah, sherlock
From experience, most of us are well aware that an iso packed in multiple rar files is nearly always a pirated game download and if we are talking piracy, this thread will be closed, it's nothing personal, just forum rules.Yeah, sherlock
Direct and helpful, thanks a bunch, it's just a backup of a game that I had years ago. So I created the iso and put in a .RAR file (prevent to mess up the md5 if I download in linux) to upload to gdrive, just that, dunno if it's p!racy or illegal. (it's just one part also, I dunno how to split it in more parts) if wanna you can close now, I already have my answers, thanks againFrom experience, most of us are well aware that an iso packed in multiple rar files is nearly always a pirated game download and if we are talking piracy, this thread will be closed, it's nothing personal, just forum rules.
Anyway, rar files are not supported on PS3, no dev ever bothered bringing rar to the table, bucanero recently compiled a rar library for psl1ght but the unrar feature is not functional & needs further work afaik. In truth, there has never been much of a need for rar archive support on ps3.
If you only have a phone, you will need to make enough space on it or use a mass storage device in ntfs or exfat to extract the iso with a phone app before moving it to the ps3 via ftp or a backup manager.
It's perfectly legal if it is your own backup, no need to close the thread.Direct and helpful, thanks a bunch, it's just a backup of a game that I had years ago. You could use the Android RAR app & use the feature to convert a rar file into zip.Just thinking out loud but how handy it would be to have an android or online version of blitser to convert that rar to zip so multiman can open it.
But considering you still have to own the physical copy of that game to keep the backup legal then whats stopping you from putting that disc in and backing it up again via multiman
And when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth

Just thinking out loud dont forget [emoji6]

Bro, I know it's quarentine, and you're probably lonely and needing a bunch of attention like everyone else, but it isn't an excuse to being so inconvenient. If you wanna some attention in that way go find some random chat online, I'm just asking for help, if you were just a little intelligent, or had more than just 2 digits QI, you should have seen that recently I've asked about a nobd version of 4.86 for my console, cause I've just messed up the flat cables of the BD. I really don't owe any satisfaction to say those thing to you, the one that I really have to say anything are the mods, so, please, if you aren't here to help, I'll be reeeally glad if you go do anything else, thank you. (And if the mods want a prof of.my messed BD I have photos, my copy of the game is with my friend, I can easily ask him to take some for me)Just thinking out loud but how handy it would be to have an android or online version of blitser to convert that rar to zip so multiman can open it.

I owe you, I'll just try this, I'm out of storage in the phone cause I'm actually playing some heavy mmo. I'll uninstall some and try it, thanks again to being helpfulYou could use the Android RAR app & use the feature to convert a rar file into zip.
Then you could edit the inside of the zip to make the tree structure that multiman needs. It should be easily done really.
If you wanna help or something just dm me, actually I have nothing to do now daysyes, I built the unrar library for ps3, but it's not working (can list contents on the .rar file, but fails to extract the files)
I assume it's a silly bug that can be fixed, but never bothered to hunt down the bug (probably related to the file creation or the file handles)
