PS3HEN ISO Install to HDD

Good morning!

Ive been trying to run an ISO file from my HDD but I keep getting a black screen. Ive copied the ISO from my USB into the PS3 ISO folder, and when that didn't work I also copied the dkey file. Ive updated the game, and tried mounting with webman, multiman, and irishman, but that didn't work either. After work I'll try decrypting on my PC before I copy to the HDD, but I wanted to make sure I haven't missed anything.

WMM, mM and RM, not supporting 1:1 disc image (encrypted). It must be decrypted if you want use it. AFAIR, CFW Evilnat have in its xai_plugin an option to decrypt image, but I dunno if it is on the fly or physically on HDD replacing encrypted sectors by decrypted in disc image file. Never used that yet.

You're a hero man. Thank you. It was an issue with needing to decrypting the iso files. Once I did that, I was good to. I appreciate your response. I'm sure people come in here asking obvious questions like that all the time, so thank you for taking the time!

at this point, encrypted 1:1 images are only for archival purposes, if a user is looking to play games in a PS3, keep everything in decrypted form.

Even if CFW ends up supporting encrypted images on the fly, you'll have an additional layer of instructions (decryption code) that need to be executed every time the ps3 needs a file, so in a sense your performance would be impacted.

The decrypted ISO worked for me. Now ive just gotta figure out why this dlc isn't populating. Thank you, very much. It's been a lot to try and put together lol

@bucanero AFAIR can be decrypted on the fly by ps3netsrv, then PS3 eating decrypted. But yeah, support 1:1 images needs some changes on Cobra level. However, I don't think so it would be any performance issue because not whole disc is encrypted, but just small part covering mostly EBOOT.
