PS3 Issue with RetroArch (Phat ps3)

Hello all,

I tried searching for a solution to my problem and can't seem to find one. Nobody seems to have this issue or maybe I'm doing something wrong.

When I try to run RetroArch on my PS3, the screen goes dark then goes back to the XMB.

It did load the very first time I tried running RetroArch and stopped working after I tried scanning a directory. I removed RetroArch and reinstalled it. It worked a few more times and now I can't get it to work.

Always the same thing, screen goes black then boots back to the XMB. I tried uninstalling and re-installing. Tried different versions of RetroArch, always the same issue.

I'm getting tired of trying random things to see if it works I even tried to do the 4 hour format, was a waste of time because it didn't fix my problem.

If anyone has had similar problems and has a solution, that would be amazing. Please help :(

Don't auto/scan folders for games, find and boot them manually.

There is nothing that can been done about this, unless you want to edit the source code yourself to remove this or try and fix it, it has been like this for quite a few releases but the devs of this app do not listen to anyone about issues. And haven't done anything about it.

It can also be like this on the Windows version as well when scanning for games, so is not just in the PS3 version of this app.

EDIT: I don't use this on PS3 anymore as I am sick of the issue's with it not being sorted out.
 
Thanks, The problem is that RetroArch doesn't work at all anymore. I guess I'll just stick to stand alone emulators :(
