PS2 Issues with MechaPWN

I want to be able to use my PS2 to play PS1 games again. Do I basically just replace the .elf file and do the installation process all over again? Did they fix the issues with the 3.0 release, having to remove your memory card and installing FMCB a certain way? Do I still do the install process over USB? Thanks

If you have installed MPWN already, restore NVM backup before attempt to install newer version.

It was never an issue. If you have installed FMCB for all MG regions, then you don't need worry about changing region by MPWN.

MPWN installer is one executable file, it doesn't matter from where you start it. FMCB Installer using external resources and needs to be USB (FAT32 on MBR) to install everything properly.

I recommending to use R4D:

I made a post a couple months ago about wanting to play PS1 games again. I finally got around to install MecaPWN again today and I can't get it to work. The newest dev version just gives me a black screen and if I try and run the old version it gets stuck on waiting for USB device. I've tried multiple things but nothing will work. I would like to just install the newest dev version without having to restore my nvm backup because the version I have installed the backup function is broken and there's a possibility I could brick my console.
