Hey guys, long story short, i unplugged my fat ps3's HDMI cable in order test a Super Slim PS3, when I tried to sync my controller with the super Slim I accidentally turned on my fat, so I shut it down by holding the power button, when I was done ( just a couple of minutes) i plugged the hdmi back into my ps3 and turned it on, i had no image on my tv, the tv knew something was there but no image, the WebMAN yellow light didn't blink and the fan didn't ramp up to 35% like it does after a few seconds, it was the like the console didn't "boot" a reboot fixed the issue, should I be worried?

Dont worry, is because the PS3 stores some settings of the TV that was connected in the last boot, if you change the TV it could happen that it boots one time in a black screen, but after rebooting one more time it "finds" the new TV fine

If at some point it happens again you can force a video reset by keeping pressed the ON button

Yeah but i didnt change the TV, just unplugged my ps3s cable to plug it into another one, also, the fan didnt ramp up to 35% (which would have happened because of webman) also the blinking yellow light from webman didnt light up, it was like the console was just "on"

Webman only works after the whole operative system is loaded, i guess when you had a black screen the PS3 was trying to display some advise about resetting video mode

Some of that screens from the "alternative boot modes" and error screens (and the recovery menu) from the link i posted happens before the operative system is fully loaded. The firmware is modular, when some of that screens appears it stops loading more modules
We use to consider that the firmware is fully loaded when we see the XMB, but i guess when your PS3 had the black screen it was not displaying XMB

Is this i should be worried about?

No, what i meant is your PS3 probably was tryng to display the same screen that appears when you do this:
Hold power button down for one beep (while PS3 is off): Reset video to lowest settings.

And probably it happened because there was a mistmatch in between the TV settings (stored inside the PS3) and the TV you had connected
