Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure BluRay games converted via cfw2ofw won't work either (even if an update IS available.), as multi-game discs or collections such as the Metal Gear Solid collection simply won't work using this method.
See @cygmon0 's thread, [FIX] MGS HD Collection Black Screen
(Posted the link to it here because using the site's search function wouldn't show it. Had to resort to google to find it again.)

This is unfortunate since there are alot of great games bundles up in these single disc collections, but hopefully some progress on this might happen one day.
If you have the PS2 versions of Kingdom Hearts, those are definitely playable. I understand they may not have that shine that comes with HD ports, but they still look pretty good in my opinion on flat screens. It beats playing on CRTV's :P.

If it's a good game, which Kingdom Hearts is to me, you shouldn't let such things get in the way of enjoying them. You'll miss out on alot of great games and hidden gems.

It's still your decision in the end, but if you play non-HD games long enough, eventually you'll get used to it and realize there's really no difference other that textures and GUI elements being slightly lower. While I like HD ports, sometimes it can actually make things go south.
(For example, Metal Gear Solid 3, something about Snake's face looking so smooth, or at least something I never noticed on the PS2 version, it's just creepy xD. It's still one of my favorite titles though.)

I still hope you'll give it a shot, if your game selection is dependent on the graphics alone, you'll limit yourself horribly. I can't say much more than that, as I'm still working on convincing my younger brother (I'm 26, he is 13... Do the generation math.) about this very point.

But MGS HD does work with update
Really? xD I didn't think it would, seems like I remember a discussion about multi-game discs not working with this method. I'm glad it does though, as I have the collection on disc as well as the individual digital versions. That gives me even more hope now :D

But you need to join the 66600 files together, to avoid blackscreen for mgs3 and mgs2. I talked about it in my thread here "MGS HD blackscreen fix"

Good luck [emoji4]

[FIX] MGS HD Collection Black Screen Fix Link
I apologize for the double-post, I just felt it was necessary to make it a little more visable for people that may be interested in it.
The thread wouldn't show in the site's internal search results, and had to result to google searching
"psx-place [FIX] MGS HD Collection Black Screen Fix" in order to find it.

I seem to recall mgs having large psarc files that were nearly the entire game. it may or may not work extracted. I think one of the uncharteds (at least) works extracted, but I'm not sure if it works to completion. the 66600 extension was created by @deank , I believe, via split4g. it's designed for mm. mm will merge the files on the system. ;)

And for HAN user all it needs is just merging these files manually [emoji6]

3 nails to the coffin of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 & 2.5 ReMIX CFW2OFW + HAN dreams:
  1. Both games have no game update in all region releases (US, EU, JP, AS) and,
  2. Both games have no demo either to experiment CFW2OFW methods with.
  • Bonus Nail: No PSN release, all regions.
That is Tetsuya Nomura's fault! :bitsbubba: ...as usual :D

nobody tried fake pkg methods? or separate the games? because those games are locked and separated behind a launcher, maybe if you take out kingdom hearts 2 final mix out of the launcher and make it a separate fake pkg it will work? someone did this with tomb raider hd trilogy (he separated the 3 games made them standalone fake pkg and it works) the game title went from BLES... to HLES... instead of NPEB... please anyone qualified to look into this? maybe this method will unlock all previously locked/unconvertible games?
