PSP Largest MicroSD card I can use on a PSP?

I have one of those adapters to use a MicroSD card on a PSP, and I am trying to decide what size I want. I tried to look it up, and it seems like 128GB would definitely work, but it's not clear if anything larger would. I see conflicting reports, some saying they used a 256GB card just fine, others saying it stops reading past the 127GB or so mark, but all of these posts are many years old.

What is the largest MicroSD card I would be able to use in these adapters on my PSP? Or does the model and/or CFW I have on it effect how big a card I can use?

The most common of those MicroSD adapters will only give you up to 128GB, so unless you find a special one or one of those dual-MicroSD adapters, that's going to be your hard limit..
I found a UMD shaped thing on eBay years ago that you can store in the UMD drive that will hold 2~3 Memory sticks. So that's an option if you want/need more than 128GB..
