WebMAN LaunchPad (webMAN MOD Add-On -Unofficial)

PS3 LaunchPad (Unofficial addon for webMAN MOD) v0.17

First i want to apologize for mentioning the Cover Website (thank you mod ^^)

@aldostools i tried the new build and now it's generating the XML correctly ^^ but it seems it is mandatory to clear the cache after each games refresh but that is no big hassle.....Also the 150 items limit seems to cause no problem here
Thank you for your support :)

Edit: One little thing...... WMLP shows only games from dev_usb000 but not from dev_usb006 which is my second harddrive. In my games list they are listed.
Tapatalk yeah :)

Yes it is required to clear the cache after each game refresh, I should have mentioned that. I had planned to include a shortcut inside the launchpad that deletes the nsx folder as this is a quicker way to refresh the Launchpad than pressing triangle and clearing cache (because it doesn't effect other files like store ads and XMBPD pkg list)

@aldostools Maybe it could be built into the wm test build that it also deletes the dev_hdd0/tmp/explore/nsx folder when WebMAN scans for games. If not its no big deal, just one way it could save a step for the end user.

Please try with this new test build (now I tagged it as 1.43.29)

Do you have more than 150 games/items on hdd0 + usb000? The xml generator stops reading when it reaches the threshold of 150.

The scan reads the content for all the defined paths on each drive (starting with hdd0, usb000, usb001 and so on...)

Yes I have round about 200 games on both external drives and 2 games on the internal drive.... For example the letter B I have blur (racing game) on dev_usb000 and the next game should be bodycount which is on dev_usb006 but it's not showing up in wmlp. But I will try your new build and will report back.....

If you need it, I could compile you a build with a limit of 300... As I mentioned earlier, I'm not sure which is the safe limit.
DeViL303 commented about having hanging issues with large number of items (maybe the XML is too big or the PS3 start downloading the XML before it is done).

EDIT: Here it is if you want to test it...

So let´s find out :) The issue is still there with both versions of webman mod 1.43.29. Only games from dev_usb000 are listed in wmlp.
with the 300 limit version i got Error 80032015 after a minute or so. I can enter wmlp but always get that error Time to switch back i guess ^^.

It seems that the limit 300 is not safe... I changed the limit of 180. If it doesn't cause issues I will leave it in 180.
I also removed 5 countries that don't have official xml: "cn","ph","rs","um","ve".

http://aldostools.org/temp/test/webftp_server_launchpad.sprx

Regarding usb006 not being listed, try swapping the drives (connect usb006 drive on usb000 and viceversa).

As I mentioned, the drives are scanned in order and stop generating the xml when the limit is reached.

BTW thanks for the tests and feedback ;)

No problem sir ! I´m honored to help you :) So.... 180 also gives me Error 80032015, so 150 is the max i guess. So i switched back to the "regular" webman mod with 150 entrys and also switched the usb ports as you suggested and also got that error !! My guess is i have more games on usb006 than usb000 For safety i would reduce the entry number to 120. I looked into the xml file and found out that that dev_usb006 games are listed way down the list as last and is not sorted alphabetical......Weird...... After intense testing I could say that 120 is safe... Even with switched ports :)

Thank for your feedback. The threshold is back to 150 items. I updated the source code and the updater on github.

BIG Thanks @aldostools, looks like you've sorted this. Also thanks to @Metalomeus for your time testing.

That's cool @0_obeWAN. Just so you know the yellow banner is already removed in Launchpad v0.11 default xml. you must have been using your own modified version of the xml maybe?

So..Ive figured out how to remove "our pick" , and I figured out how to add the content ID, And ive figured out how to remove the ticker and the dates. All going good. Got a good layout for the auto generated xml I think.

See the example I posted a few pages back:
Code:
<mtrl anno="" until="2100-12-31T23:59:00.000Z">
<desc>NAME HERE</desc><url type="2">http://xxxxxxxxxxx/wmlp/covers/TITLE_ID_HERE.PNG</url>
<target type="u">http://127.0.0.1/mount_ps3/dev_usb303/GAMEZ/TITLE_ID_HERE</target>

As you can see all the other entries can be removed (can put a place holder at the bottom with the date 9999-10-10 if you want all games to scroll up - @bitsbubba's discovery) .

I didn't know the anno="" could be removed aswell, that's cool. That date you are using for your lastm will only work for about a week, then the entries will be considered old by the ps3 and will no longer scroll up.

I have updated the project again according to this new info...
- Removed a few optional properties in LaunchPad xml
- Added option to disable LaunchPad generation to /setup.ps3
I'm not sure if I understood correctly, so please check if the xml is still being generated properly.

I didn't remove the countries... can they be removed too?

The updated pkg can be found here:

That latest version is working fine for me. xml generated properly with 150 games. :) Cool.

Ive just realised all the countries can be removed if this is put in instead <cntry agelmt="0">all</cntry> .

@aldostools
Just have a test with your latest posted, for me it's missing some code like: id="1080000001"
Covers don't cached no more. Maybe it comes from me ?

At some point of the discussions in this thread, the examples started to omit that property, and I thought it was optional.

The updated pkg can be found here:
https://github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/releases

Changes:
- Re-added "id" to mtrl items.
- Changed countries enumeration to "all". <- result in a smaller xml

Hey Aldo I couldn't find disable in setup, maybe I just overlooked it. Where's it located?
