WebMAN LaunchPad (webMAN MOD Add-On -Unofficial)

PS3 LaunchPad (Unofficial addon for webMAN MOD) v0.17

I do not want to delete it :chuncky:, just wanted to know, because I did not find the triangle button, so I found it strange. Thanks for the help one more time.

I see. I can explain exactly why although its not really important:

The reason you didn't find it inside "Game Data Utility" is because of the installer you used, I thought you had used the XMBM+ installer.

The XMBPD installer is a little different, it simply copies the files to the correct folder = dev_hdd0/game/XMBMANPLS , it does not "install" a PARAM.SFO and icon like normal pkgs, as that would interfere with XMBM+ SFO/icon.

*If you had used the XMBM+XMBPD installer (all in one) then it would give you the option to delete inside game data, but with the one you used it will take a manual delete.

Either way its all the same really, will work the same etc, Im just trying to keep all the mods separate, yet keep them compatible at the same time.

I installed xmbextras, because you said it would work, but then I realized that this version is outdated, I do not know if I'm right?
So I wanted to uninstall it afterwards and put in its latest version. If I delete the XMBMANPLS folder using FTP, is there any possibility of brick or freezing afterwards?

No, xmbextras is not really outdated, you can just install that and then update XMBPD from the XMB then you are ALL up to date.

But just so you know there would be no risk of brick if you delete the folder.

I have seen that within XMBM+ it is possible to update the XMBPD. If I update the XMBPD inside the XMBM + will I have the XMBPD inside the networks tab as well? Or the XMBPD will be updated within the XMBM + only.
Think that my explanation is a bit confused now :worked till 5am: :chuncky:

Sorry, for delay, had a power cut and Ive broken my phone screen. :(

Anyway, No I understand, and I understand that this whole thing is a bit confusing.

To answer your question, there is only one set of files for XMBPD, so you can update either one and both XMB items will update. The only reason there it seems like there is 2 versions is due to entries in the firmware xml files pointing to the same files. We could have 100 XMBPDs on the XMB but still just one set of files.

Now there many CFW options, thanks for increasing compatibility.
I would like to know how I do to uninstall theXMBM +?I installed the version that you passed for me,but does not appear the triangle button to uninstall

If you want to uninstall XMBM+ go to Game Data Utility - as DeViL303 said - press TRIANGLE, Delete, Yes.

Another method to uninstall it is going to File Manager in XMBM+ browse to /dev_hdd0/game and unlink the folder XMBMANPLS

As DeViL303 told you, XMBM+ is not an app. It is a mod stored on HDD as game data.

If you delete XMBM+ you will lose also the webMAN Setup menu. It can be recovered reinstalling webMAN MOD.

I would never find it, I thought that the Game Data Utility was inside XMBM +.
Lack of attention.
I do not deserve a sweet kkkkkk :chuncky:
Thanks Aldo for the help one more time, the XMBM + is divine

Is there a standalone xmbm+ available anywhere without xmbpd / launchpad?

Or will I have to manually edit them out?

I have no use for either and having 3 links to xmbpd at once is kinda annoying for something you'll only likely use once. (Shows on main xmbm+ screen, package installer screen and network category, lol)

It's all gotten quite confusing lately with so many different installers etc.

Also couldn't get it to work with overflow, so switched back to rebug 4.80 as I wanted Linux back anyway. (Only upgraded to get my trophies back from psn)

Webman Launchpad is stand alone, so if you don't want Launchpad simply don't install it or uninstall it.

If you don't want XMBPD in your network category don't install the flash files, if you don't want XMBPD to show anywhere just delete the XMBPD.xml and folder located at dev_hdd0/game/XMBMANPLS/USRDIR/FEATURES/

The reason you got that error is like the screen says, because you don't have room on your flash..maybe other mods applied taking up the space? Anyway, that install is not required for XMBPD unless you want it to show in the network category so I don't think you need to install it as you are removing XMBPD?

All those XMBPD installers in your screenshot have different version numbers, new categories added, new pkgs etc. I know it can seem confusing but the point is to give the user as many options as possible, you can have any combination of these mods with the current installers available.

If your category_game.xml is already modified to support XMBM+, xmbextras.pkg may be enough (it includes XMBPD, except the wallpapers menu that duplicates the size of the pkg).

It is labeled as XMBPD 0.61, but indeed the xmls are from 0.63. I left it as "0.61" due the missing wallpapers.

If you need to modify category_game.xml and patch the download_plugin.sprx for CFW 4.81, then I recommend to first install the update XMBPD 0.63

I agree that 3 icons of the same has no sense... Initially XMBPD was only inside Package Manager (I prefer it there), but DeViL303 wanted more exposure and moved the option to the main screen of XMBM+ (I left it duplicated for users like me that prefer it inside Package Manager). The 3rd icon is because ... hmmm because... eeeh... I don't know :) ah ok, now I know, it looks neat there ;)

My idea was to have the option of having XMBPD inside XMBM+ OR XMBPD on its own in the network category, I did not think anyone would choose to install it in all places :). And I was even getting PMs from people asking me for xmls to move it to network..its hard to please all users though. That is why I mentioned the generic query system.

P.S. I did not know it was duplicated inside package manager plus aswell, I thought there were just 2 options.

Yeah, not so much I want xmbpd deleted. Just prefer to only have one instance of it. (Package menu makes most sense as Aldos said).

Overflow cobra v5 was a strange one. Was a fresh install with no mods except webmanmod, xmbm+ was the next thing to install.

Had a few issues on that firmware anyway, foreground xmbpd downloads occasionally disappearing (although eventually found it again a few reboots later hiding in the shutdown menu???) amongst other minor bugs.

That's why I was originally trying different installers / online update combinations trying to see if I could get it to work properly again without luck.

Thanks both of you for the suggestions. I'm back on rebug now so most problems are gone anyway. I'll just tweak the doubled up links out myself. :)

If you want it only in Package Manager Plus, remove the query for XMBPD.xml from game_main.xml (line 28)
If you want it only in the main screen of XMBM+, remove the query for XMBPD from Package_Manager.xml (line 24)
If you want it only in Network Category, remove the query from both files, and keep category_network.xml installed by XMBPD 0.63

I also tried putting XMBPD in one place on the XMB only, package manager on rebug (would have been install pkg files on other FWs of course) and some didnt like that idea either..Maybe I should have a poll on where it should be placed and go with the winner?

I think on the network section if solely on the xmb makes the most sense. Although if it's part of xmbm+ inside it's package section also seems to make the most sense.

You will never please everyone though and it's not like it's hard even on a phone to quickly ftp in and tweak a few xmls.

I normally remove the excess default links on the xmb once xmbm+ is installed though just to compress things down and save doubling up.

The link to XMBPD on the first level of XMBM+ should be removed in the next update imo, it was just an idea, and that is aldos release so he should put it where he wants. I will just keep working on the standalone version for the network category and if people want they can add their own entries for it in other places, like you say, users can tweak ther own xmls, its not that hard.

Which program i can use to edit these paths? I would also like to just leave the XMBM + in the games tab and the XMBPD in the networks tab. I think it is better for me to manage them
