PS3 Licensing issue on Ps2 games

Hey everyone,

There is an issue with my ps2 games I bought at the ps store for my cfw ps3. Whenever I go activate it using my psn account, some ps2 games work which are usually the ones I have not opened yet. But once they have saved data, they almost never run and shut down once I load them up. They never save on the memory card utility which is weird since I have the memory card set up on the ps3. They always save on the Saved Data Utility folder for ps2. Am I doing something wrong? How can I fix this so that I could play any ps2 game without it shutting down?

PS2 classics don't save to the memory cards you've created. Iirc, each PS2 classic has two virtual memory cards of their own. That is normal. As for the shutting down problem, I'm not sure, unless it's the hdd.

You need to change temperature settings in webman mod
Oh, I see. I changed it to a specific temp. Do I remove the temp settings I placed so that it does not have a limit?

How do I achieve this? Do I go to Setup in webman mod and change the settings there? I went there and there were so many options to do certain things. Could you help me with this?

Oh and to let you know, I changed the fan settings in cfw tools, not in webman MOD

Ok, what specific temperature do I set them up in? Which is the best temperature to set them up in? So that I could play my ps2 games?
Set fan at 40-50% for ps2. There is no dynamic fan control for PS2 games afaik, so you don't want temp thresholds. There's a separate fan assignment for PS2 games from what I remember.

Alright, I set the fan mode for cfw tools for dynamic fan control at 70 degrees, ps2 fan at 50 percent, fan mode: syscon. For Webman, I set the ps2 fan at 50 percent and fan control mode to syscon. I then logged in, activated the games for my account, and soft rebooted it. I then launched Bully for the ps2. After all of that, it still did not work. It shuts down again. I just don't get it, what did I do wrong? The only way for me to play it properly again is to delete the game and re-download it. Even then, it would be a one time or two time thing and after that, it will shut down.

Edit: it also does not work on my custom pkg files for my ps2 backup games anymore. It did work when I first had the problem of the digitally licensed games not working. I really need help as it seems to be getting worse

Sorry, I'm not sure what else to try. I've tried a couple custom PS2 games in the past, like mega man anniversary collection, since I'm a big mm fan. I didn't have your issue. I'm on stock firmware with a different system now. Unfortunately, I don't have any PS2 games, or PS2 classics I mean, since it's a super slim or else I'd run a few tests on them to see if it's firmware related.

I see. Thank you for the help regardless :)). Is there anyone you know here who is knowledgeable on this specific issue I have and can possibly recreate it themselves to resolve that issue? For context, I have a cfw non-BC ps3 (CECHK model) running on the latest Evilnat.

Hi again, I was wondering if anyone else is knowledgeable in fixing the issue that I have. Could you please direct me to them?
