PS3 Linux / OtherOS questions

All the info I've found about this is really outdated and refers to old Rebug firmware. It would be very nice if someone who actually uses OtherOS on Evilnat 4.91.2 could give some updated information and instructions.

A few specific questions I'd like to ask:
  1. Do you need to resize the VFLASH partitions even if you just want to run Linux from a USB disk (i.e. without installing it to the internal HDD)?
  2. Is petitboot installation reversible, i.e., can you uninstall it from the VFLASH without reformatting the entire HDD?
  3. Does it still mess up recovery mode?
  4. Is there any brick danger if I mess up with Linux and it ends up unbootable, i.e. can you go back to GameOS if you lose access to OtherOS?
  5. Any updates regarding RSX access? I saw someone working on it on YouTube but no links or anything.
  6. Does anyone have an image of Debian for the PS3? The link on Debian's website is broken and unfortunately not archived.
Thanks!

Ad1. Bootloader goes to VFLASH/eFlash region 5, which is by default 4MiB. So you must if your Petitboot exceeding that size.
Ad2. Yes but only from PC if you have ERK and it is NOR model.
Ad3. Yes. I dunno why.
Ad4. Not if it is NOR model.

Here is my diagram which should help you imagine how it is organized on HDD on NOR models:

Is this true (step 6)? I seen a different guide for linux install and for NAND it says I need to rename the minimal file. No other guide said this. If anyone has linux on NAND could anyone verify this? This is why bricks happen because wrong info is posted. Anyone who actually knows what to flash for NAND from experience please chime in with your guide.
