Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Graphics Preset Changer (LCRGPC)

Change the graphics quality from high (the default) to low and vice versa for the game Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP.
This game was released on September 12th 2024, after many delays. Said delays did not stop the game from shipping without a way to change the graphics quality preset. Without a menu option for changing the graphics quality, the developers decided it best to put the highest graphical quality options on as the default. So even though this is a remaster of a game released in 2012, it ran at a single digit FPS on my system. So I decided to write the graphics preset changer to add the missing functionality and make the game playable for me.

Thanks for reminding me about the game. I had it preordered on the PS5, never had played the original. I don't think my system had downloaded it automatically. I know I have some options like downloading and installing system software in rest mode, since it kept kicking me out of the game I was playing when the system updated.

Never played the original as well. Make sure you have enough time to complete each level, because it only saves once each ~30 minute level is complete. It's pretty fun, and looks great anyways.

I was a huge 360 fanboy back in the days of the MW2 release. I remembered seeing trailers for this game at some E3 thing over a decade ago, and when I found out it was getting a PC release I finally took the plunge (after 7th gen I switched to PC). Without the graphics set to low by my tool however this became the first game to bring my gaming laptop to it's knees. Still with the tool, I can max run a 1280x720p res which I just find incredibly ironic considering this was a 360 game (2005 console) which ran at the same res in 2012. I thought I had bought a PS5 killer, but you'll probably have a great OTB experience unlike myself. You remind me of why consoles still matter.

My system is no slouch either:

I had a similar experience with dragon quest xi on this old shitty dell. I think the opening ran well, but once you could control your character, it was running at like 10fps on my PC, even with the lowest settings. I didn't know about the steam 2 week, 2 hour return policy if a game doesn't run well on your PC at the time. I have a far superior Asus rog now. Game works much better. Though, I bought the definitive version on the switch and the PS4 and completed it on the switch. I still can't defeat the main bonus boss though.
