Major progress being made in Vitamin 1.2

I finally got ys to work. the problem was that I had to delete the install bubble from the live area before installing the vpk. both games r backed up now. :-P

Glad you got it sorted Pinkypoo, it was driving you more insane then you already are [emoji12]

Use CMA client buddy or you can just FTP them off. If you FTP though you will need to start a new save first then copy over the backup

but it's a save on a cartridge. I don't know which file to transfer. I looked, and all I could find was the game data itself.

nm...my game save seems to be gone. I don't know what happened. :( r retail saves saved on the memory card or the cartridge?

Depends on the game. Some are some aren't. gr0 saved to memory card grw0 saved to the cart. BTW when you deleted the bubble to install when you delete the bubble from the LIVE area it deletes saves and DLC you have to delete it from CMA to keep the save unless it's contained on the cart. I am assuming yours isn't contained on the cart.

I have an idea. I made a backup of the entire memory card a while back before henkaku existed, so I may be able to get the save back. so cma will backup a vita save? 'cause I saved the game to check, and I couldn't find the save in cma.

it's gr0 btw.

I'm going to use a backup of the memory card to get the save back. I need to charge my vita first. it's plugged into my laptop atm at my work station. this leads me to a bug I found with qcma in which u leave the system charging with qcma open. for some reason, the usb cable keeps connecting, then disconnecting for no reason while charging. thus, u can't charge. I'm not sure what's causing it, but I think this has happened before.

You need to change your QCMA drivers there are two types If you get the connect disconnect that is your issue buddy.

you meaning your charging the ps vita on pc if so from what i heard it can cause issues
it happened to me too almost instantly but as soon as i turned off the usb charge option works perfect
but of course sadly does not charge but main thing is doing the file transfers

well, I learned something new. u have to backup the game itself to backup the save instead of using the saves' section. wtf sony??? now, I need to figure out how to inject the save. the save itself wasn't in the user/00/savedata folder. I'm not sure where it's located then.

Well I found a flaw in both dumpers if a game doesn't use the Party app it can't be dumped. Tried Adventures of Mana and it doesn't use any outside apps so there is no way to pull up the manual to gain access to the files to remove the PFS protection. Gonna see if I can use MaiDumpTool to grab the eboot and see if there is a way to get the files without the PFS protection.
