Mamba Loader (+AutoLoader)

Yes, if you use psnpatch plugin just hold r3+l3+r2 for a few seconds and you will unload everything (webman mod, webman vsh menu) disable syscalls and enable psn access. The game will remain mounted (it's highly recommended to use ISO images)

I have webman 1.43.25 , the one that 4.78 d-rex come with ...

Yeah , I tried playing while connected via TMAPI and webman unloaded and it seems to not freeze anymore , that's great , thank you so much for giving me this advice !

The only bad point of doing this is no having fan control anymore , but I will figure this out somehow . Thanks again for your help !

the only fan control option that works with webman disabled is manual, just set the speed of your liking and it will keep that speed even after unloading webman

it seems I froze again :(:(

It must be something between COBRA and "System software mode" + SPRX , webman does not affect this .

My only hope now is these mamba developers fix the problem with TMAPI , then I will replace COBRA with MAMBA .

Am not sure I see the point in replacing Cobra by Mamba...
You will be losing some functionalities for what gain?
Mamba was only supposed to bring cobra functionalities to non cobra cfw.

Let's say you are using standard CEX for whatever reasons. If you need cobra features, you are stuck. So mamba gives you a way out.
However if you use a Cobra CFW, disabling cobra to run mamba doesn't make much sense.

Also you should know that some games don't even run at all in system software mode (they were not made to run on it anyway) & will only launch in release mode. Metal Gear Solid Ground Zero for instance is such a game.

Yeah , basically even GTA is not running on system software mode unless you replace eboot with a modded one .

I play only GTA and I'm not using COBRA features , I don't even know all these features , all I need is playing GTA with SPRX and TMAPI in the same time without overload freeze risk . :-/

Joonie was right, the problem with mamba and tmapi is that new_core..
If you launches directly the vsh sys_agent is not loaded and for that you have more memory available.
I've resolved the issues but still have some work to do..

i found a problem on ps3mapi ,the problem is that load prx game plugin on some japanease games will cause the game to crash (ex.Odin Sphere Leifdrasir ,Dragon Crown) and PSN game (MLB The Show 2016 ) could you solve this problem ? thank you very much

I doubt that anyone can give you a precise answer without testing...

Why don't you compare the memory footprint yourself?
Dump the memory using a wMM web command or whatever & have a look in both cases with HxD...

I can't compare it right now, because I've launched recovery menu and I've selected Restore File System (I've done it to check if File System is OK). Restoring stopped at 60% and there was a message saying that the file system is corrupted and that my HDD has to be formatted :( I've tried "System Update" function from Recovery Menu, but selecting it hangs my system (even if there is no USB drive plugged in). The problem is that I don't have any save game backups, so now I'm stuck at this point.

If you are explicitly asked to reformat your drive, it means the file system is corrupted & it is likely that you won't be able to update or anything else...

What CFW are you trying to install via system update? If it's Rebug, it will most likely fail via recovery, it's a problem that exists for a long time. Rebug should be installed from the xmb.
Try with another CFW like Starbucks Habib 4.81 or Ferrox 4.81.
But given your problem, I doubt it will update ok anyway. You can try...

It could be your internal hdd malfunctioning or something like Ccapi messed with your system.... There are various possibilities...

At this stage, you will probably have to reformat your disk or replace it with another hdd. If you do not have any backup, am afraid your game saves might be lost, along with your licenses & the trophies you did not sync with PSN. Unless you have a copy of eid_root_key?

Can you answer this questions to begin with...?

1. First tell us what CFW is currently installed?
2. Did you install ccapi?
3. Do you have the eid_root_key for your hdd? You should always keep a backup of this key made with Rebug Toolbox otherwise you cannot read the hdd on a pc. If you ever converted cex/dex with the Rebug Toolbox then the eid_root_key must have been extracted on a usb device, check...

I can't install any CFW via system update, because when i push "System Update" option, the system freezes.
1. Currently I'm on Playerkp420 4.81 Standard CFW.
2. I did not install ccapi.
3. Well, honestly I don't know. I've made some backups with rebug toolbox in the past (I was on Rebug CFW for a long time) but at the moment I don't know what it was exactly. I will check it when I will be back home (I'm at work right now).

Hmmm... Are you using Mamba on this standard CEX CFW?
So no XMB at all? Just the recovery menu where every option ends up freezing the PS3 or telling you to reformat? How does Rebuild DB fare?

We might as well let @playerkp420 know about this...

If you have the eid_root_key somewhere then you will be ok, otherwise you are likely to lose your saves.

Yes, I'm using Mamba.
I've rebooted several times, but on each reboot console was doing file system check. But maybe it was caused by me, bacause I was holding power button to get into recovery menu... I'll check it precisely later and let you know.

Ok take your time but don't act too rashly...
Who knows, we may still get you out of this problem without losing data if we are lucky...
Get in touch with us when you are ready...

After powering up I've got this message: "File system is corrupted and it will be restored" (translation from my native language). The only option is to click OK (X button). In the half way it says that file system is corrupted and HDD must be formatted (there is a question if I want to do this).
As for the backups, I've got only backups of LV1 and LV2 made on firmware 3.55.

If you only have lv1 & lv2 dumps, you are snookered... You won't be able to get your eid_root_key with those.

Yeah, I've been just reading this wiki... So I'm going to connect this drive to PC and let it check check for bad sectors. Thanks for your help!
Just now I've found out that I've got a copy of one user "home" folder from july on my PC - it's better than nothing. If I remember correctly, there are some problems when copying save game files directly (they need to be resigned or something)...

With Rebug you don't get that problem because of the fake save owner feature. You can use any save from any account...

i remember i had an issue once that was sort of like this (freezing in system update in recovery). I took a spare hdd and slapped it in and let it format and then i updated to latest/desired cfw, then put the original hdd back in and tried to update. it worked great and all the original data was kept intact, but i am not certain it would work in this case. Def wouldnt hurt to try i dont reckon, cz as of right now there are no options for you.
