Managed to make PS4 V2 work with ps3xpad but...

I've finally managed to make my Dualshock V2 controller to work (wired and wiressly) with the ps3xpad plugin but I have to edit the xpad_remap.txt file in order to enable the ps button from the controller and I have no clue on how to do that.

This is the file I mean:

# Remap button configuratiion
# Press (START+SELECT+DPAD_RIGHT) to enable/disable remapping
# You will need to restart xpad plugin for changes to take effect
# You may only map a single button to one other button (You can't have R1 = L1, R2 = L1)
# Leave blank for no mapping
# Example to swap R1 and R2:
# R1 = R2
# R2 = R1
# Sensors may only be mapped to analog sticks
# Example to map sixaxis sensors to right and left analog sticks:
# ANALOG_LEFT_X = SENSOR_X
# ANALOG_LEFT_Y = SENSOR_Y
# ANALOG_RIGHT_X = SENSOR_Z
# ANALOG_RIGHT_Y = SENSOR_G
# Maximum of 10 different remap settings can be used.
# Remap setting titles (ex. [REMAP_SETTING_1]) may be changed. (ex. [GAME_TITLE_REMAP])
# Button being pressed = Button mapped to
[REMAP_SETTING_1]
CROSS =
CIRCLE =
TRIANGLE =
SQUARE =
R1 =
R2 =
R3 =
L1 =
L2 =
L3 =
DPAD_UP =
DPAD_LEFT =
DPAD_DOWN =
DPAD_RIGHT =
ANALOG_LEFT_X =
ANALOG_LEFT_Y =
ANALOG_RIGHT_X =
ANALOG_RIGHT_Y =
START =
SELECT =
PS =

So according to the 17th line (# Button being pressed = Button mapped to) I have to press the button in order to edit the file, but the ps3xpad menu doesnt have any option that allows me open the .txt file and edit it with the controller, it just allows me to enable or dissable one of the remap settings (there are like 10 or something like that) .

Can anyone help me with this little step, please? I've been breaking my head for days trying to make this plugin work with the DS4 V2 and Im stuck here, Im a little dummie and this is my first time doing this plugin thing so dont laugh that much at me pls :,)

Sorry it will not work with the V2 unless the dev shows back up (been 3+ years since last release) or he releases the source code. But do not count on that man sorry to say. Had the same issue I had to source two v1 DS4's. Only a tier option aside from writing it yourself is buy a Cronos. Well worth the couple bucks and every is plug in play. Works great on Wii, Switch, PS3, PS4 & PS5. Wish I had better news for you.

Hey, thanks for tanking the time to respond man :)
It's ok, I've just deleted the plugin because it started doing some crazy things, like it wouldn't show Webman, the ps3 fan would make A LOT of noise when starting or turning off the console, it would even kick me out of the internet...
It's a shame because I really wanted to play Max Payne 3 with the comfort of a DS4 but... I guess I'll have to wait for Rockstar to release the Ps4-Ps5 bundle with the remake.

Well good news is Rockstar just announced a Max Payne Remake. But grab a Cronus and then you can use any controller on any system.
