ManaGunZ

PS3 ManaGunZ - PS3 Backup Manager by Zar v1.41

This "reloading..." appears only if a a new device is plugged. So, then it's refreshing datas.

Can you tell me if u plugged something ? It's look like something is detected but it's not a stockage device (not a dev_usb or ntfs ?)... I don't know, I need to know what it found. Perhaps an SD card ?

Is this screen is restarted after a few time (When the loading start the bullet is at top-left corner) ? or is it stuck in this loading ?

Yes is restarted after a few time, is like refreshing all the time searching for new devices or folders for games but never stops, the ps3 don't crash or freeze, I can return to the XMB.
I only have an external hdd 1TB with two partition, fat32 and ntfs, nothing else in the other port. When i have cfw 4.66 ver 1.00 works great but version 1.10 dont :/.

edit: I try something new, I copy 1 game in the internal HDD, desconect the external HDD, load MG 1.10 and works great :D but when i connect the external HDD the program starts searching for folders and "realoading" appears again :( , if I disconnect the external hdd MG works again, show me the games in the internal hdd. Is weird because in version 1.00 there was no problem, it's like some changes made in the new version would conflict with the external hdd.
Some screens:
First without the external hdd:

Second I connect the external hdd:

Third Reloading never stop again :(

If I disconnect the external hdd MG show me the games in the internal hdd
pd: sorry for my bad english

Thanks a lot, I think I understood what caused this issue.
It's because I considered that there is only 1 partition per device plugged. You and kloklo50 have 2 partitions in your HDD that's why it's stuck in this loop.
I'll fix it in the next update. (I hope you are not in hurry ;p)

Tested on Darknet/Cobra 4.70

Two words: Like it

All bug I reported are fixed, GUI are simple and clean.

Zar continue like this, if you need tester, you know where find me

Hi,

I have update ManaGunZ to 1.21

I added a file manager.

This is not a 'perfect' manager. It's kind of a whole new project included in ManaGunZ (I even wanted to make it as a standalone self) So, it's the initial release.
There is still lot of things to do that's why I'll add a special 'to-do list' for it. So, if you have any suggestion or if you find any issue, plz tell me.

The changelog and links are in the first page.

oh i almost forgot the most important note of this update.

Nothing could be possible without the help of Matsumot0

THANK YOU

Zar,

I installed your 1.21, and I have a red error at start-up "ERROR: 0 game detected" (normal as I have no internal games and my ecternal HDD is dead :p) with the only choice to come back to XMB.

But, i think it should be great to be able to acces your file manager even if no game detected.

bitsbubba I completly forgot to support NTFS devices. I add it to the to-do list.

My main task was to build the interface and I suffered to do it. That's why I jumped from 1.10 to 1.20 ^^'

Zar First of all many thanks for your work on the excellent ManaGunZ.

I wanted to check if you can add some type of hash calculation capability to ManaGunZ that recursively scans a game backup folder and generates a checksum for the files inside.

The reason is that I have had few unclean shutdowns and some game problems probably due to that. Currently if I have to do an integrity verification, I must copy the PS3 files to computer and then compare it there. If I have a md5 or any other decent hash calculation in the PS3 itself than I can quickly generate the hashes inside PS3 itself and compare the hashes with the original on my pc.

Would it be possible to add this feature in ManaGunZ in a near future release?

Thanks and regards.

sha-1 is already included so it will be easy for me to add it in file properties and i'll do it.
But to do it for all files inside a folders this will be complicated to display everything (some games have more than 10K files) and the memory is limited. Let me some time to think how I can do it....

Perhaps, It will be better for both of us to do an option : "Force Copy". It will check both sha1 (source and destination) and then if it's different it will overwrite the file. What do you think ?

chevalierxx it's already in the todo list. I just don't know when i'll do it.

I'm not thinking to display all the hashes of the individual files but generate a single file containing all the hashes of a game (something like game.md5 or game.sha1). This way I can do it any number of times or whenever I like and if the hashes are intact then I know my game is all fine.
