Have you tryed with a PS2 game ?, well thats a question more for zar than you, i dont even know if it works the same for PS2 discs, but im mentioning it because are ISO too

And with PS1 ?... i guess is needed to create the image in BIN/CUE

You could check if the heap memory for the process is enough... this is one of the common cause of errors that I have faced running code that work standalone.

Also try to isolate the function as much as possible. e.g. call it immediately before start other processes (like draw gui, read config, etc.)

If you can share the WIP code, I could try to help you find the bug...

I been practising a bit with the tools to create SND0.AT3
Im posting it here because i use managunz with priority enabled, so everytime i boot the PS3 the cursor is located on top of managunz icon and XMB is going to play the song automatically

But dont consider this song im uploading as a candidate to be the official soundtrack of managunz, i think the official should have another more "consumer oriented" style, lol
But lets say this could be the alternative (metal) soundtrack, if at some point there are several this one could be the second or third one :)

I think there are bug in apply PNACH, it can't do restore PNACH unless I rename the .pnachrest (in
PS2 sub folders of MANAGUNZ0) to the new ELF CRC

I did not say Irisman does bad backups . I checked them all on PC and they were perfect. But Managunz somehow reports these backups as invalid , all files are reported as MODIFIED , this is just a bug .

I know irisman does good PS3 backups in JB format, i mean if there is a bug in ManaGunZ related with the IRD check of PS3 games in JB format then is going to affect all the games in JB format (not ony the ones made with irisman but also the ones made with the other backup managers)

So your report affects all PS3 JB games... but i remember i was checking this feature with one of the latest ManaGunZ versions (im not completly sure if it was the latest available or the previous), and it was working perfect

Unless something went broken at some point... im completly sure this feature was working fine
 
Wew I really do love managunz but I have a little problem that I'm hoping you guys can help with. When I start my ps2 game (persona 3 fes) on my PS3 slim from my internal hardrive it runs kind of laggy and slow especially when it comes to the characters moving. This is all fixed when I go into managunz and enable the 480 option...buttttt the thing I need help with is that once I run the game with this enabled my screen is off, a small part of the bottom screen is lower like the vertical angle of the game is lower than it's supposed to be not allowing me to see one can even say it's "stretched" but I like to say it's misplaced due to the fact that I can still see the rest of the game and run it perfectly no lag no nothing. I've tried many things enabling wide screen, enabling the other options, enabling the configurations, disabling the configurations, you name it I've done it and if not it only makes things worse by pushing the game even deeper down by a little bit ofc. Soooo yeah...only me huh? I couldn't find any other place talking about this...any ideas guys? Because at this point it's laggy and I can see 100% of my screen or smooth and I can only see 90% of it. Persona 3 was published in the PSN store with an official config file, the official config files uses to solve all the game problems completly... and that config files are included in managunz default installation

So... it seems you made some mistake when you was trying to load the config for it in managunz (in other words it seems you did not load the config)
Either that... or the config is incompatible with the video mode patch you applyed additionally

Wew thank you now I'm on my road to fixing it but what do I do now? Now that I have the codes I mean, I didn't know it was released on psn so I might just downloaded and install the PKG then huh? Would you be so kind as to guide me with what to do next? Appreciate it!

HEYYYY MAN ITS ALL COOL NOW, I installed the game as a PKG and I'm playing it like that it's all smooth n stuff so that's good no more lag or screen problems I can see 100% of my screen, THANKS FOR THE HELP. Hope you have a good day. Peace.

You missunderstood me, what i meant is you can use managunz to load the game ISO + CONFIG, and the result should be exactly like the PSN game

For that to work you need 2 things: the ISO of the game matching the MD5 published in many databases (and included inside managunz default instalation)... there is an option at bottom of managunz "PS2 settings" menu that tells "check MD5"... run it in a ISO and it will report the MD5 and a report message telling if it matches with the MD5 of the databases (or not)
The goal of this check is to verify if your ISO is well made, or if it have some corruption, or if it have some patch applyed, etc... you know incase of problems is better to use the ISO identical to the original game disc released years ago

And the CONFIG... well, you need to enable it in managunz, otherway the CONFIG is not used
Most probably that was your problem... you was not loading the CONFIG !
