ManaGunZ

PS3 ManaGunZ - PS3 Backup Manager by Zar v1.41

...but when I tried to load it, the config in managunz freezes in the ps2_netemu.self option of the official config of ps2 classic

...I tested with many games and with config (NET) and only with this one this happens
I think it's a managunz error, can someone check this?
I guess i still dont understand you, what i explained about copying the config manually next to the ISO is the kind of test you should do incase there is a problem, because the backup managers are doing this "replacement" of the config files automatically, and could be confusing for the user because you are not sure which config is loading

ManaGunZ contains a collection of configs included in the default installation, im looking at github and im not so sure if zar removed them though
And additionally it have compatibility to load the configs installed with a PKG maintained by aldo (that matches with the database link i mentioned in my previous post)

Maybe there is a conflict in between the configs for that game, but anyway, you can install the PKG by aldo with the whole collection of configs and managunz should be able to load them

@Zar

Could you add the USB SaveData feature that wMM has for PS3 games?

I like this option, but unfortunately after using it (or maybe the option to remap gameDATA) with wMM it disappears requiring a re-install.

It would be the "icing on the cake" so to speak if both USB redirect options could also work with NTFS drives but I am not upset if NTFS cannot work with it.

Having issue were games on external HDD aren't showing up, have around 100+ games but only 6 show.

This is regarding 1.42 on latest HEN version. All other versions except 1.42 crash on HEN.

Have no issues with CFW, all games show no problem.

On HEN, Multiman, Webman and Isman show all external games so a bug regarding Mana.

Would like to say best interface for launching games, just need it to work on HEN properly, ty.

what it is ?

The 6 games detected have something different ?
What kind of backup do u use ISO, JB ? on NTFS/FAT32/exFAT ?
NTFS External and Internal HDD, ISO. Seems to be showing only PSN Liberator converted ISO games.

Logs show when starting up It's scanning all the games but then goes down to the PSN Lib games.

this is because managunz supports exfat, not ntsc. however in previous versions and previous firmwares i was able to detect games in ntsc external hdd in iso format using managunz, ferrox cobra (or maybe evilnat) and prepntfs (or maybe prepiso)...but now i don't remember the exact combination. i think 4.87 ferrox cobra with prepiso and managunz 1.39... @Zar changed a lot of stuff in 1.40, so in later versions in later firmwares I'm not able to do something similar, but i like so much managunz and its features.

Hi All,

So I've come across an issue that I can't solve on my own.
I have a 500GB external drive that is formatted in NTFS and where all of my isos are stored.
When I launch Managunz, I see the games in flow mode, I can launch them and play them.
However, all I see are white boxes...no box covers of any kind no matter what I try.

I only use Managunz and WMM.
With WMM, I see all the box covers for PS3, PS2 and PS1.

It used to "just work" in the past, but now (more than likely I've done something) I don't have any box art.
Anyone have any ideas what I can try, what setting I haven't enabled, etc?

Best Regards,

Desmo

The issue come from my server I think, maybe u used the option "Download covers" and my server was always returning a "CRLFCRLF" so, it downloaded it as if it was a covers and stored it inside managunz folders, u must clear this directory /dev_hdd0/game/MANAGUNZ0/USRDIR/covers it's probably full of "corrupted" .jpg

I found and fixed this issue yesterday... it was not functionnal for almost a year. It was also causing some freeze. Sorry, for the troubles.

In next update, I'll add few line of code to avoid any issue caused these files...

I don't have br movie, is it moiunted to /dev_bdvd ?

I can add the otion in the filemanager

It is when I open the 1.39 File Manager. But it doesn't have an option to dump the disc as an ISO.

I now have an external 2TB NTFS SSD that I would like to also backup my BR movies as well as PS3 games. multiMAN can backup movies to the PS3's internal HDD but it has no option to dump to external NTFS drives.

Hi Zar,

So I finally got around to doing this and deleting the contents of the covers directory. You were right, when looking at the contents, it was filled with 4B jpegs that had the correct game ids but were all corrupt. Once I deleted the contents of the directory, did a reboot and launched Managunz, I had covers for all my games again: PS1, 2 & 3.

No need to apologize as what you provide for us is going to have bugs here and there but it's free of charge and is a fantastic piece of software.

I am going through a massive rebuild of repairing hundreds of JB dumps to full encrypted ISOs and I am noticing many bad IRDs where the contents of the IRDs are correct, but the region hashes are not.

I am not sure where some of these IRDs came from, and if they were hacked or if there was a bug in ManaGunZ, but the quality assurance on this is not great. I suggest all IRDs that have a redump.org dump should be completed replaced with new versions from IRDs created from the Redump2IRD app.

Example: BLJM60043. This IRD contains correct files but incorrect region hashes. In fact all of the suspicious IRDs seem to originate from ManaGunZ 01.40 when I checked a random sample.

Was this a known issue? If not then all of these IRDs should be replaced with good versions. Feel free to contact me directly if needed.

Also note that renaming IRDs with iso_tools results in the same managunz signature, so basically that signature must not account for region hashes... which is not great for uniqueness.

I just noticed the changlog for the 1.41 release:
"Fix : Issue with IRD build on region hashes and Data2."
"The database won't accept upload of ird made by a version older than 1.41."

I guess that explains it. An IRD with invalid region hashes is better than no IRD at all. Can I provide a pack of IRDs made from every (non-MIA) PS3 iso in the redump.org database to correct some of these issues and add many missing IRDs?

Thanks for maintaining this database!
