ManaGunZ

PS3 ManaGunZ - PS3 Backup Manager by Zar v1.41

Already talked to Zar about this issue, ManaGunZ uses a detection system for ps3 isos based on param.sfo and some other files, in fact i have some games that show up in the list only when disc is inserted even if a proper iso is already created in hdd0. Games not shown in my case were Wipeout HD Fury and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Zar already knows about this issue and will probably fix it when he will have time (it seems he doesn't have much time this year), so what we have to do with this games in this moment is to use webmanmod or irisman or original disc.

I'm trying to use ManaGunZ to dump my PS3 discs.
I assume I want them to be unencrypted to work on my PS3?
I intend to use them with webMAN and just dump the disc with ManaGunz.

I'm getting this message when dumping the disc unencrypted: Can't get PUP_VERSION, looking for PS3_SYSTEM_VERS
I don't know if that's normal.

Hmmm, just tested the result then with a game and it's not loading, any help?

Edit, turns out I just needed to use ps3-disc-dumper with the encrypted file produced by ManaGunz and it worked.
So yeah, I got it. :)

I have a game in folder format on an exFat memory card (because it has multiple files that are >4 gigs). I know it needs to be in ISO format to be able to mount, so I have a NTFS drive to do that. But when I try to use ManaGunZ to covert to ISO it says, "Invalid path". It does this when trying to convert it to the NTFS drive, the exFat drive, and even the HDD. The file manager gives the same error.

In the past I've converted HDD to NTFS and FAT32 to FAT32 with multiMan, but exFat drives don't show up in multiMan.

Managunz keeps on scanning and gets stuck when he scans this game in particular.
The game is Arcade's Greatest Hits: The Atari Collection 2.
When I remove the game from the PSXISO folder, everything works fine.
Can anyone help?

Maybe this is related to ManaGunZ scanning feature as we said above, however haven't got any scanning issue for psx images before except loading time that is slower than ps2 and ps3. Is the image http://redump.org/disc/13782/ or http://redump.org/disc/7488/ ? Is the image matching redump hash? Is it in .bin or .iso format?

I've never used ManaGunz but I might like to, so excuse me for the noob questions. Why are there 2 files for downloading of ManaGunz on Brewology? Should I install both files or it depends? I'd like to have the full experience...

one is the Backup Manager and one is the File Manager.

Haven't been around for a while...
Zar..
Have you stopped developing ManaGunz ?

The Managunz github page hasn't seen a commit since Jan 24, 2024. Some commits in January of this year were made to the ps2config repository by Zar. I would assume he's still among the living at least. Maybe taking a break or possibly, Managunz is for Zar, finished, and doesn't need further development.

I'm still alive :)
I don't think mgz is finished, it's still full of bugs, I just lost interest to dev it when I changed computer, sry
and there he is...:applause:
No need to apologize for anything...the software is created on private time and freely given to the community. When and if you get around to working on it again, is when you get around to working on it again.

Have a good one!
