ManaGunZ

PS3 ManaGunZ - PS3 Backup Manager by Zar v1.41

Could you plans to release a new version & SRC?
Have compiled the missing mamba payloads for 4.78 & 4.80.
Have made the MGZ 1.25 pkg release supporting all current fw, CEX & DEX.
Still need to test first....
It's not exactly a release but the support of new mamba versions should be useful....

I'm asking u because u are probably the people who know the most cobra sources.

I wanted to know if the ps2_emu.self and ps2_gxemu.self are the original file from the FW ? we can found them here : https://github.com/Ps3itaTeam/PS2_EMU/tree/master/SRC/4_78/ps2emu_gen_4_78

Because I want to patch these files with managunz and to include in the manager only the payloads. (to keep a low size of the homebrew)
For exemple, ManaGunZ will do the job of the exe ps2emu_gen and it will include the payloads : "ps2hwemu_stage1_file.bin", "ps2gxemu_stage1_file.bin".

Also, I wanted to know how u can find the value of "PAYLOAD_ADDR" inside this file : https://github.com/Ps3itaTeam/PS2_EMU/blob/master/SRC/4_78/ps2emu_stage1_file/Makefile.hwemu

Finally, I wanted to know if the patched ps2emu for cobra and for mamba are the same ?

Mamba is now practically Cobra but with a different name ;) The differences currently are minimal. So, yes, they are the same.

Estwald used a different name to identify his fork, which initially only was able to mount PS3ISO, BDISO, DVDISO and PSXISO.
He chose the name "mamba" because it's a smaller snake, but as lethal as a Cobra, in reference to the reduced but effective functionality.

NzV and Rancid-O later closed the gap (start at boot, load prx at boot, netsrv, PSPISO, PS2ISO, etc).

hi @Zar thank u for this great app
the last version is so cool and features more functions
i am on rebug 4.80 but i have some problem
1 failure to see ps2 ps1 psp iso they didn't appear at all (i am using my ps3 to play a lot of ps2 games lol )
i saw the option scan directory set to games does it need to be changed to another folder to find my other isos

any how i am happy to see the GUI changes and file manager for me is the coolest ever in any backup manager in ps3 scene
hopefully next release will get more bitter and bitter

Yes I forgot to add them in the latest release, I figure it out yesterday because in my ps3 I added them manually.
You just have to go to "dir scan" option and there is an button to add a directory to scan. In the next release i'll add the scan of PS2ISO PSXISO PSPISO

@Rancid-o

I couldn't mount PS2 iso (PS1 ans PS3 game was working), so i decided to use the mamba loader of NZV to install the mamba and it works flawlessly... Also, I don't need to poke in lv1 anymore to install it everythink work fine :love heart: . I think when i was installing it with the payload sky, it wasn't proper, something was bad...

MAMBA 3.x didn't work for me either on IRISMAN, so I had to use MAMBA 2.2 (NzV + my updates).

I tested it when I was on 4.46. I haven't tried on 4.80.

Nice.. :) so the problem was the payload sky..
I think now i can remove that lv1peek from mamba source..

But PSP game are still not working. The game is mounted but when I launch it there is a black screen. Do you have any idea how it can be fixed ?

Which firmware? There are at least couple reasons for that to happen.

1. Vsh patch's not applied due to wrong hash or improper offsets

2. The fw itself has an issue with permissions on files on dev_flash

i'm on rebug 4.75 but i'm talking about PSP game with mamba 3 not with cobra (it's working with cobra). The patch you are talking about are this one ? https://github.com/Ps3itaTeam/MAMBA/blob/master/stage2/psp.c#L112 ?
Do you think perhaps some of them are bad ?

Are you in dex or cex?

EDIT:
Nevermind.. i've tested now one psp game on 4.75.3 rebug (lv2 dex/cex and vsh dex/cex) and it works.. so i think we can exclude "the bad offset"

Have you tried set BUILD_TYPE to debug and get the debug log with socat?

Ty, so it's probably coming from managunz. I'll try to debug it this afternoon. As it was working with cobra I supposed it wasn't a managunz issue as the code are the same. Also , I saw a feedback here that PSP games wasn't working... So, I thought it was an known issue. Sry, now I'll investigate deeper as I know it can work.

I found out that it's coming from the mamba payload that I compile, I didn't change anything from the source code BUT the binary files sizes aren't the same as yours. Mine is bigger for example for the payload_475C:
from autoloader bin (10 mars) = 86 304
from compiled source (10 mars) = 88 224 md5 :97b4de558de5d77eef0c5b958864de6e
from compiled source (24 october) = 88 256 md5 :70847be57d29b36e287e008cbc92d2f1

If I use the payload included in the autoloader with managunz, PSP games works. But if I use the compiled payload it doesn't work :s . Any idea ? someone can try to compiled to check if they generate the same file ? perhaps, my environnement is corrupted ? I don't understand :s

Also, I tried to use socat, I'm doing this cmd : "socat udp-recv:18140 stdout" but i don't receive any message (I didn't forget to change the BUILD_TYPE to debug)
