ManaGunZ

PS3 ManaGunZ - PS3 Backup Manager by Zar v1.41

Btw, i just noticied that i forgot to remove an action on SQUARE in the version 1.25. I was using it to do some test, it install the mamba payload without checking if cobra is enable, so if cobra is enabled and u install the mamba, the system will freeze :s
Funny, I was walking someone through doing a IRD check today and he ran across that exact bug. I also noticed that (at least for me, Rebug 4.80 on CEX, CECH-2504) when I use the Make PKG and install it, it shows as either Parental Restricted data or as Corrupt Data. Don't know if it's in your bug list or not.

@Omage Yeah, psp iso is working now

@Alexander You mean to support 4.81 ?
I noticied that 4.75 is like 4.81 so managunz, So i htink MG don't need an update to support it.
I had some trouble to include ps2emu patcher in managunz but now I think it will be finish rly soon :p

Btw, the download links for the source code of all managunz versions that appears in first post has been taken down, and most of the versions of the compiled pkg too

Reuploading the compiled pkg's of old versions of managunz is a bit pointless (i dont think anyone will install old versions) but the source code of all the versions is worthy incase there is someone interested in taking a look at how it evolved
Actually... i realized about the broken links when trying to take a look at source code of version 1.00 to see how many of it was rewritten in comparison with iris/irisman

Wonder if @moderators was aware of this problem with the broken links, this files could be added to the forum homebrew library

@sandungas At top of this page you have tab named: "Extra Info" - Where 1,25 source code is placed.

I try to fill rest today after work. :)

@Zar
I have been wondering about an error logged on mounting JB folder games with Multiman payload & BDMIRROR emulation settings.
Using Rebug 4.80.1 in CEX mode, Cobra enabled & Managunz 1.25 WIP.
When you mount the game the log is:
Code:
...
Mount BD-mirror
Error - 1 move_origin_to_bdemubackup
Mount ps2disc
...
Then black screen, console frozen.

If use Iris payload instead with BDMIRROR I get the same error & the game does not get mounted but Managunz exits gracefully at least.

about ps2emu ::

I rewrote the makefile, and regrouped every symbols in "symbols.h", I also ported the ps2_emu to other firmwares.
But it's not working when I launch the game from the PS2 disk icon in the XMB, the system is turned off, the led is turned off too (it's not red). I checked 10 times the offsets, also tryed with the CFLAG -Os, -O1, -O2, -O3 nothing worked.
Friday, i was testing it and I thought it was working but today it's not, I think I mixed the selfs with one which was already patched...

Now, I think my issue come from the environement.

@Joonie @Rancid-o
or someone else, with a "proper" installation (on fedora i guess) can compile the ps2_emu payloads files to upload them to me (with map files), plz ?

As I noticed Joonie had not replied yet, probably busy, I thought I would help as I have the 2 SDK setup already on both Windows & Linux so I can do this in minutes.
Here are the files you asked for, compiled on Fedora with CellSDK 3.1. I included the map files as well as you asked, even the elf files just in case. I only removed all the redundant source files.
I hope it helps. :joyous:

Don't hesitate to ask again for stuff like that. I already told you am happy to assist...
Also if you are interested & you have a decent bandwidth, I could share my VirtualBox VM. Quite a few Gb though...

It's kind of you to say but unfortunately not accurate... I know a few things but I still have so much more to learn about the system, I have only scratched the surface of the PS3 internals & how to manipulate them.. If only I had the skills of guys like mysis or kakaroto among many others talented devs...especially RE & ASM.
Skills can be acquired but it takes time...

I think ur devaluing what u have to offer. I think of myself, personally, as knowledgeable about six or seven systems, but I'm not a master of any of them. I try to share that knowledge when I can. like I believe I said to u before, I think of myself as the bridge between dev and a noob. I try to make things as basic as possible with all of my tutorials, because I know that people r capable of getting to my level, even urs. as u said it, it takes time to get to that level, but it's doable for anyone who wants to invest in it.
