PS3 ManaGunZ - PS3 Backup Manager by Zar v1.41

@dew
You don't have to post everywhere just 1 mention is enough ^^'

Even multiman is not detecting your games from usb071 ? I thought he was checking all usb device until usb0128.

What is the "corrupted" warning ? Did you try with different option in game settings ?
I'm not sure but I think that NTFS hdd cannot be mounted, if the number is higher than usb007, So, do you have formated ur hdd in NTFS ?

and about the message "Game Quit: No Request Event", it's 'normal' on rebug fw :p

PS: i'm reading the threads, not finished yet ^^'

Nop. Aldo just tried todo experimental webman patch for me - but it was with the same corruption/malfunction issues (((

Yap. I tried all variants before writing (several hours due to manager's long run))) . As for corruption - it just message after starting the game like "Game data corrupted, try delete/reinstall and etc..."

I have no NTFS, I have two fat32 usb-hdd (dev_usb000 and dev_usb071). From dev_usb000 all works perfectly.
No, I didn't format it in NTFS cause OS for my home computer is macOS... And it is not convenient to copy games with pc against network via ftp.

Sorry, I've got it now =) Just some games unexpectly exit with this 'normal' message after start.

Honestly, i don't have a clue of ur issue but if it's not bother you, i still have some questions.

Did you try with games in iso format ?
Did you try to plug ur hdd directly to the ps3 just to be sure that issue come from the usbHUB and not the HDD or your backups ?

also do you have another hub you could try? is this hub externally powered? are there anything else plugged into the hub?

As for iso - no. But I will try from several hours and do the report.

It is not impossible to plug directly this hdd. Cause actually this is one 4TB hdd into usb-box. Just this box devide this hdd logicaly for two usb-hdd.

As for HDD - I can play music and videos from standard XMB menu w/o any issues from usb_dev071.
As for backups - I tried this test:
1. I did md5 for all files of JB game on pc;
2. Copied this game to ps3 usb_dev071 via ftp;
3. Copied back this game to a pc;
4. Verified all checksums (no errors);
5. Copied game to dev_usb000 and run (it works)

Try to fix permission. Also try with only dev_usb071 plugged.

To avoid the long loading of managunz during ur tests load MGZ then go in game menu and sélect "make pkg". It will créate a pkg, it's a 'shortcut' for 1 game so, it won't scan or load any image so it will ne fast. install it. Launch it and hold :but tri: to show the game menu.

Did also try with BD mirror ?

Wow! isos works from dev_usb071 with your manager! Sorrowfully most isos more over 4GB and can't be used with FAT32 (((
So problem is for JB games ((

I tried fix permissions for jb games - still not working. But imho fat32 doesn't support permissions into ps3 as in another operation systems.

I can't try dev_usb071 without dev_usb000 (it is one device physically)
Yes, i tried BDMIRROR but it is useless for me (cause i have 2 usb devices):
stuck with message
"Unplug the following deivice(s):
dev_usb000"

My suggestion to do check first for 1+ usb devices and make a cancel option if somebody can't/won't unplug the device.
Second 'bug' - I can't use BD Remote Controller into ManaGunz if any joystick connected to ps3,

For the ISO more than 4gb u can split them ISO.0 ISO.1 ISO.2 etc

Permission are supported in ps3 I had this this issue once. I couldn't play to any backup. It cause a blackscreen when u launch it. It took me a while to figure out what was causing this.

BD miroir with 2 USB device plugged is just not working, I dont know why.

But i still try to figure out why it's not working with JB games...

So, you have 2 hdd device plugged to 1 usb port. Perhaps, if I split my USB device in 2 partitions I'll be able to reproduce your dev_usb071...

Let me time to think and investigate, i'll be back.

Hm... I did not know about that. Does this feature persist in other managers?

I doubt that. Two stand alone usb-mbr-disks with one primary partition per each and one usb-hdd with two partitions - these are completely different things. Besides for example windows doesn't support usb stick with two partitions but other OS can such as Linux, Mac OS X and etc...

Thank You in Advance. I'm ready for any task and tests from You.

That won't work.
You need to use a hub & even then it's not 100% sure that you get that exact port...
Some external hdd use an integrated hub giving similar issues..

Btw @Zar, here is Rebug 4.81.1 REX out.
It'd be great if you could add 4.81 DEX support. I tried 1.26 yesterday during pre release test but it does not work as expected..
Actually only webMAN-MOD & multiman work in DEX 4.81...

Yes, it's a feature of cobra & mamba. So, every backup manager support splitted iso :p

I had a usb stick which was mounted with a weird number too. It was gift with some ad inside from a company to promote their product.
When i plugged it on windows I had a "virtual CD-rom" (the ad was here) + "device stockage". I couldn't remove the ad by formating it. I removed the ad with a chinese tool i found on google. I think it was completly restoring the flash memory. Then on the ps3, i had the 'normal' dev_usb000.
It look like you are more aware of these stuff than me so perhaps you know how i can built one these usb stick ?
Anyway, i have a hub but i'll have it in holydays 25/12. So, i'll see with it :p

@bguerville i'm downloading rebug 4.81, but as always with me you need to be patient ;p

Is not clear to me if you are connecting the hdd to another usb hub, but anyway...
To reach that higher numbers like dev_usb071 is needed to connect a usb hub, to another usb hub, to another usb hub, and so on... then the device at the end

I was doing tests with this, every time you connect a usb hub "in cascade" with other usb hub the numbers increases exponentially
The maximun is 128 devices though, is a restriction of the usb protocol, this is why multiman max is 128 (or 127 i guess because it should start counting by 0)

Also, the PS3 firmware has another restriction and a warning message associated with it.... the max number of storage devices you can have connected at the same time is 4
When you try to connect a fifth device it appears a warning message on screen that advises you to disconnect one of them before connecting the new one

I updated the source in github with static libs and lib headers, i didn't include the whole src of ImageMagick but you can find it here : https://www.imagemagick.org/download/ImageMagick-7.0.3-10.zip
The libiconv, I took it from sacd-ripper : https://github.com/sacd-ripper/sacd-ripper/tree/master/libs/libiconv

MGZ is using libiconv with RCOmage and it using ImageMagick lib to convert DDS to PNG to build animated background from p3t.

I'll try to update the 1st post, asap.

Compile failed to PSDK3v2
/bin/ld.exe: can not find -lxml
lxml Where can find?
-lxml means the linker is trying to use the "libxml" library, it's a library file so it has a ".a' extension, it should be in your psl1ght sdk installation.. Cannot remember the exact path by heart so search for it. It must be in the portlibs folder? It could also be called libxml2.a iirc...
The compiler should find it if the sdk is complete but PATH must be set correctly..
