PS3 ManaGunZ v1.38 - 4.86 CFW (CEX) / HEN Support + Picture Viewer + several fixes from developer Zar

Following the previous update of ManaGunz, homebrew developer and creator @Zar of the project has updated the popular ps3 homebrew to version 1.38, this update provides full 4.86 support (CFW CEX + HEN). Also in this update an added feature for viewing pictures (PictureViewer) in various formats that include DDS / GTF / BMP / WEBP / TIFF / GIM / TGA and other's as well. This update also provides several fixes; now in the file manager within ManaGunZ the scroll bar is now visible, also a fix to a language bug has been provided. See all the changes in this latest update in a popular AIO homebrew manager. multiMAN and IRISMAN are great choices as well for the PS3 but ManaGunZ is a popular choice as well. All 3 apps give a very diiferent approach and unique experience and also exclusive features.

Developer @Zar still have plans for the project and some features in development did not make the cut in this version but could seen possiably in a future update as the developer states with this release here in the psx-place forums that " The features I was working on, like dump BR, are disabled because I didn't finish yet.". So that is something that hopefully we see from this hobbyist developer when time allows. Until then checkout what the developer has brought us in v1.38 below in the included changelog

Im not sure if the feature im going to mention is available for HEN (and it depends of the game format), but try to enable a setting named "mount in APP_HOME"

just quickly tested a ps3 iso and a psp iso(installed launcher required),both working fine.if its a ps1 iso i think you need the game in the .bin format and non-backwards compatible models won't play ps2 isos.

On hen is partially true, because you need to encrypt iso.
On cfw ps2 isos work fine.
sorry bud,i read up on cfw but never used it,should've said that HEN only models need the ISO.BIN.EDAT and a placeholder.don't think managunz recognizes that format though.

Why woukd any want to play Ps2 in Iso format anyways ...even on Cfw...
(Only benefit is some Ps2 games arnt supported on Ps2classic like ico...
Ps2 iso format does Not support Wirleless ps3 controller..only wired..
Ps2 classic Does support Wirless ps3 Controller .

Wrong ps2 iso support ps3 wireless controller and also config file. The only good thing to ps2 classic is to have an entry directly in the xmb... alrhough with webman mob you can also have an entry directly in xmb...

The PS2 games runs exactly the same in both formats, for the people with a CFW (so they can choose which PS2 game format to use) the only reasons to use the ps2 classic format are:
-PS2 classics games are displayed permanently in XMB because doesnt requires a backup manager
-PS2 classics suport multidisc selector

But other than that, using a plain ISO wins in all other aspects

sorry to pull this really off subject by mentioning ps2 games,i was just wondering if the second post got their ManaGunZ working.i'm very pleased with the release and not having any issues.

i'm on Hen/HFW latest versions & can't seem to mount any game, I've used the 1.35 before & everything worked just fine, now my games appear at the game's list but when I mount any, they just don't appear on XMB, any help/solutions? :c

Nothing, Still seems to have the same issue, games show on ManaGunz & all but if I try to mount them, they don't appear at XMB, not even a disc icon
Are you in HEN or CFW ? ok, im reading above, you are in HEN
And which format are the games ?, try with PS3ISO first

I use JB Format cuz i'm mostly using it to use english patch on japanese games (easier to apply patches) plus, I use an HDD on Fat32 so i couldn't use ISO
