PS3HEN Many strange things with HEN and Homebrews

My PS3 is messed, so i will install OFW and do all the Han/Hen installation over again, but tis thread is to show strange things that happened

Installed HEN with AIO offline Packge HDD - all ok here

Installed Homebrews: MagnaGunz + IrisMan+Multiman ( ok i don't have games on the right planes, all my games are HAN games )

MagnaGunz just open an image without any menu, just a file explorer

IrisMan scan games, i could run a Mega Man x4 iso, but when exiting my PS3 just freezes completely, need to remove from DC to turn off. With a PS3 game ( Trials of Cold Stell ) on right folder and from usb, the game just returns to XMB, i think i need to configure something...

Multiman is more friendly: it runs Nitroplus Blasters from usb, i think it used BD emulation since the game replaces that game app folder below Enable Hen. But it just can't work with Trails of Cold Stell, don't know what to do.

Now webMan is a novel kkkkk

Installed pkg, "install program" shows on XMB, install Holding L1, system restarts, xmb shos a Blank Folder, repeated this process many times, whan i learned how to use FTP i deleted all folders, updated to Hen V2, and installed...same thing, just a empty folder..then ok i leaved it alone and started doing some testas it IrisMan...it opens and webMan shows a pop-up and my coolers accelerates..exited irisMan and now the folder is populated! but i nedd to go to IrisMan all times i want to use webMan...KKKKKK

My webMAN Mod Works only first time. Now won't even open contex menu with folder PS3 etc.

Same thing happened to me about that wmm empty folder. Lol


Also on HEN V1 I faced some black screen problems and when launching psxiso and exit. It kicks me to recovery..

But now with V2. Everything seems fine.

Also about multiman. Idk but it's fine running ps3 games. As all games are on my HDD. Never tested USB games..

Well, i just want to know why Multiman don't show Trials of Cold Stell on your game XMB, it's frustrating to make a backup of a game and them backup manager can't even show :apologetic:

Is that game in jb format or iso ?

If in jb. Move it to GAMES.

Make sure it's all CAPITAL .

if it iso. Move to PS3ISO

I will check, jb=folder format right? Pretty sure that it's in this folder

It should be like this:

BLES01010/PS3_GAME

Replace "BLES01010" with the game ID

I don't have ps3 at the moment. But I will try on my cousin's ps3

Yes. But I don't know why MM is unable to read it..

I guess the only way is to move it to HDD

Webman doesn't work on my HFW with HEN v2.1.1.

This thread makes my brain hurt with the amount of outdated info going around here.

Don't use JB folder format, always use ISO. JB has about an 80% compatibility. ISO = 100%. In JB folder format requires tweaking for the best results. ISO does not just mount and play.

Always use the latest build of HEN. That being said there is a new version that is in the RC phase we are testing for you all that will make your usage quiet a bit easier.

As stated keep wMM updated as well and not sure if you are using the other backup managers that have been patched for HEN compatibility but seeing as your other stuff is super dated I'm gonna lean towards it not being so.

The lesson learned here is keep your software updated to alleviate most of your issues as 90% of the time that is the advice you are gonna get when you have software issues not just in the PS3 world.
 
Sorry, but why are you guys using previous versions of HEN? Obviously you have some problems, just update to the latest version, made to avoid this type of problem, the dev's do not spend hours and hours programming for you use the less unstable versions, so you blame the HEN for something else. Just update to the latest version and you're done.
