MC2SIO No Longer Working

I can't say I'm surprised after learning about the background of Helder and his MC2SIO, but all of sudden it has stopped working properly. It's been some time since I booted it up last, and games that I know worked before are not loading properly. They'll start partially and then freeze. Other times the games will show up on OPL with missing artwork and not start at all. Sometimes OPL doesn't even recognize there's a SD card inside. There was one instance when I restarted my Slim and it booted to the default menu, not realizing there's a FMCB memory card in it.

The only thing I've changed since then and now is unplugging the console and plugging it in elsewhere. I think it's an MC2SIO problem, but could it possibly be something else?

I know your post is old by now but I'm in the same boat as you. Ive only had my MC2SIO for like 9 months and I've only used it a handful of times and the last time was months ago but today I went to use it on my slim PS2 to find that it no longer works. It won't load any games of any kind, even ones that I had working very well with it before. Seems this thing is not made to last at all considering it can just die without even seeing any use for months.

It could be an issue with the SIO2-Port as well.

If it is a problem with Helder's adapter, you should try to get in contact with him.

Thanks. I am 100% confident it is the MC2SIO adapter that is the issue as I tried it on multiple PS2 systems, phat and slim, also tried it with BDM3, BDM4, and OPL 1.2 versions, and tried different magicgate memory cards. No luck. Besides, it should've been working with the setup I had it working with as I left it months ago.
