PS3 Memory Allocation Errors on CECH-2501A

Hello! I am doing this all to apply a string of cheats on a single game. Frustrating right?

I am trying to jailbreak a CECH-2501A. The device shows in PS3xploit that it indeed is jailbreakable and CFW compatible.

But when attempting to use the flash memory manager, it shows an initial error about "If The PS3 continues showing memory allocation errors..."

After saving the file to the flash drive, it will always pop up "Memory Allocation Error"

Once again, I'm doing this to apply cheats to a game called White Knight Chronicles. I need the Console ID to be able to transfer the gamesave from RPCS3 format to PS3.

Ps3xploit is a team, not a piece of software. From the errors you mentioned, I assume you are talking about the PS3 Toolset.

If so, memory errors can be caused by extra homebrew like sprx plugins etc.. running at the same time as the PS3 Toolset. Those can use too much memory, leaving the PS3 Toolset with too little of it available to do the jobs you are asking it to perform. Most of the userland RAM is allocated to the browser & the dozens of dependency plugins, it leaves little available for us to play with.

However if you are on OFW, you cannot run custom plugins (unless you are also using HEN concurrently?) & the issue has to be caused by something else, maybe a messed up config so you might wanna clear the PS3 Toolset config to work with a fresh setup. Follow the steps below in the right order.
1. Set the browser homepage to blank (if not already done) then close the browser.
2. Open the browser.
3. Clear the cookies.
4. Restart the console.
5. Open the browser & launch ** www.** ** www.ps3xploit.net > D... (NEW URL = http://ps3toolset.com)/bgtoolset.

If ever you get memory allocation error again after a while (but you shouldn't), you can use the above steps again, in most cases just restarting the console should fix the issue though.

Ok, thanks. I've found a few methods online to get the CID, but afaik, none of them work based on recent developments of replies

Can confirm, cleaning the browser and restarting fixed it
