Messed up when trying to update HFW, can't install HEN

I forgot I had to install HFW in recovery mode instead of through XMB and that deleted my HEN and HAN, then tried doing it in recovery mode but after thats done the HEN installer still fails to initialize, same with the HAN installer.

I tried just about every troubleshooting tip: deleting the browser stuff, trying the manual install with HAN, the alternate HEN installer, installing through recovery the HFW once again, installing OFW and then reinstalling HFW again.

What about confirm browser close? Did you turn it off? The installers will fail if not.

afaik, installing a firmware on the xmb is not really much different than recovery, but the recovery is closed off from other processes, so it's supposed to be safer. I think it's also the only way to install the same firmware version.

im 90% sure HFW installed fine, my installed homebrew are fine btw, its the HEN and HAN that are gone, @RealWelder of course i turned off confirm browser close, even the installer tells you to.

rebuilding the database seems to have done the trick, though the alternate HEN and HAN installers didnt work, the main one did for whatever reason
