I managed to play a burned disc 1 of mgs all the way to the screen where it ask you to switch to disc 2 but for some reason it can't. It claims that disc is incorrect. So, I just figured that I must have fucked up the burning but Disc 2 works just fine in title screen so it can't be? When I try to load a save on disc 2 it has the same problem when it asks to swap to disk 1.
I figured that maybe the laser is bad somehow but regular 1 disc ps1 games work just fine so it can't be.
I have been playing these burned games with the disc swap trick so that makes me wonder if the game tries to read region data (like on startup) when you need to swap disks? If this was the case I feel like other people would have had this same problem but I found nothing on the internet.
Also, why does this site freeze every few seconds? I know this isn't a hardware problem.
