PS3 Micro SD card as Backup

Hi there guys,
Has anyone had experience in using a micro SD card to Back Up the ps3 storage in System Storage? I've purchased a 512gb SanDisk micro SD and want to use it to backup the hdd, but it says it's going to take 9+ hrs. It's for my OFW CECHC03.

System Backup is almost useless anyway. Make Your own copy free from vendor and mobo locking (not for OFW of course, but if You don't want CFW, maybe just install HEN?):

It is slow because You have probably hundreds of GiB to backup and PS3 have USB 2.0 ports (similar for memory cards), so You will get at best around 20MiB/s writing speed. In addition, PS3 compressing already compressed data and encrypting it. All of this taking ages.

I take it with HEN I can disable it when I want to sync trophies and not get banned?

No guarantee You will not be ban. Especially if You will not clean traces of used homebrew.

You can consider different way: hack Your console and install CFW. Read EID Root Key and IDPS. Clean homebrew traces and install twice in a row OFW. Having ERK You will have access to its contents on PC, having IDPS You have freedom in decrypting system backup archives and resigning saves and trophies.
