PS2 Minna No Golf 3

I need help on Minna No Golf 3 on OPL.
The game freezes when I tried to play tournament, VS mode and select a character or anything.
How am I supposed to fix the problem?
 
We need some more informations...
  • OPL build
  • PS2-Version (or setup in general)
  • Game-ID (SLUS, SLES, etc.)
  • Device you play from
  • File-type (if from USB or SMB)
  • MD5 of the ISO
  • etc.

OPL v.1850 (latest for 2020)
PS2 Fat (SCPH-39003)
Region: PAL
SCPS_150.16.
I play games from USB (SanDisk 32GB)
ISO (File type)

That is not "OPL", but the fork of it called "OPL DB".
This could be a reason for the error.
Please try the official OPL Beta-builds! --> https://github.com/ps2homebrew/Open-PS2-Loader/releases

The game is the Japanese version of "Hotshots Golf 3"?

Are your files non-fragmented?
Games and VMCs must be 100% fragment-free on USB!
 
Minna No Golf 3 is not fragmented. Thank god...

First off, you should try the original OPL, instead of a fork of it!

Well, on Defraggler, I analysed the usb I use and the game (Minna No Golf 3) didn't appear.
 
Also once you make sure the device is defragmented (with auslogics disk defrag), if the problem persists, try MODE 2 ON.

Can you IGR from the game?

I tried IGR and it still freezes... :,(

Can you IGR SOMEWHERE in the game? Maybe right at the beginning?

There is also a second option, which uses both Thumb-Sticks pressed, instead of SELECT and START.
This combination should turn the PS2 OFF, but it would be interesting to see if:
  1. It works...
  2. It doesn't work...
  3. It freezes, right there...
Please also tell us the behavior for the reset-button-combination!
The behavior might differ, depending on where in the game you are, or what you were doing during your playing-session.

If that has issues, try turning "disable IGR"/Mode 6 ON!

I did IGR but this might not work...

This happens when I tried to play tournament...

This ISO is defragmented and something is wrong with the game... It freezes... it's useless! >:,(

Try the compatibility-modes...

Better would be, if you report back the behavior of the things we asked you about.
